About
A plethora of powerful swordplay techniques and Eikonic abilities lie within Clive's remit—and it is up to you to decide which ones you wish to learn or upgrade. If you're having trouble choosing, upgrades can be unlocked automatically.
Story-focused mode is recommended for those players who are less comfortable with action games and wish to focus more on the game's story elements. In this mode, Clive will automatically evade some attacks, and epic Eikonic combos can be triggered with simple button presses. Action-focused mode, where Clive's every action is controlled by the player, is available for those who are confident in their skill—or want to test it.

tldr; modernized version of old FF games. 10/10 mechanics. 3/10 mc/companion customization + interaction. 4/10 story(delivery 0/10, plot 8/10). Sh*t game, but still worth playing. will still buy the next one. Dog immortal. Good: -Definitely heading in the right direction with real-time combat game mechanics, exploration, and encounters. It is a very, very good evolution from what you would expect from the classic games. 10/10 in that regard. -Accessory equipment effects are pretty fun to play with and allow you to explore and learn the different play mechanics at your pace. Bad: -Not a game, its an interactive ~20-25 hour movie. -No choice in companions. -No companion customization. -Stat distribution is automatic. -equipment is so boring. accessories are the only saving grace. -Very limited character customization with skins (I know we never got that previously but they're trying to modernize and evolve the franchise) -In the eichon fights, quick time events take longer than the actual fights. -Too much F**king exposition. HOW MANY CUTSCENES DO YOU NEED???? There was so much pointless dialogue. I remember about 5 hours in (which was basically still the tutorial) I skipped a cutscene, it jumped to the next, i skipped...etc. 5 times. Pretty sure that wasn't the longest chain either. Guess what, probably 10-15 hours of my playtime was cutscenes and quick time events. -story is convoluted, poorly structured. Read an online summary of each chapter after you finish it so you know what is actually going on. -story-wise everyone is basically half-dead all the time. Why? -Also, very heavily centered around bromance...like very heavily...Nothing wrong with that, love is love no matter who the other person is...but it really felt like all female characters were an afterthought. This one is not passing the Bechdel test. I mean the dog has more dialogue than the only female companion.
overall good game , epic bossfights. the best i#ve ever had in a game. its not a typical FF sadly but still a good game

Good
DEUTSCHE SPRACHAUSGABE! Was sehr seltenes :) Schon alleine deswegen den Kauf wert.
they just shot and killed me at 7pm on a friday
great game, I like it
TLDR: A game with great potential that was completely wasted. It is the definition of all show and no substance. Pro: - The main character and the love interest are very likable. - visualisation is fine - English voice actors are okay (german below avarage) Cons - The game feels more like a movie than a game due to annoyingly long "eye candy" cinematic sequences - Good characters are dropped, killed, or forgotten far too quickly, while the boring ones stick around until the end - The love story involving the MC gets basically zero screen time - The combat, leveling, and crafting systems are incredibly basic. The crafting in particular is awful - Boss fights quickly turn into generic bullet hells. The only difference between phase 1 and phase 2 is that the boss summons three projectiles instead of one - The Eikon fights range from mediocre to outright annoying - The boss hunts feel shallow, and you mostly get useless rewards from them Final Thoughts: Every mechanic in game feels like an afterthought, especialy the combat system. It feels like it was designed by an ape who tried to learn the Devil May Cry combat mechanics by studying a hobo. A hobo who, was trying to convince the world that the end is near using an empty wine bottle, three mismatched socks, and the fifth chapter of Twilight translated into Chinese and printed on a cheeseburger. Even the Eikon fights were done significantly better in games like Naruto over a decade ago.
