Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

About
A plethora of powerful swordplay techniques and Eikonic abilities lie within Clive's remit—and it is up to you to decide which ones you wish to learn or upgrade. If you're having trouble choosing, upgrades can be unlocked automatically.
Story-focused mode is recommended for those players who are less comfortable with action games and wish to focus more on the game's story elements. In this mode, Clive will automatically evade some attacks, and epic Eikonic combos can be triggered with simple button presses. Action-focused mode, where Clive's every action is controlled by the player, is available for those who are confident in their skill—or want to test it.

Reviews
When I beat this game last year, I didn't know if I should write a review because I was conflicted on how the game made me feel. After coming back to it a year later, I've finally decided to write something: FINAL FANTASY XVI is a game with depth that made the strange choice to present itself as shallow as a puddle. It has elements that are genuinely stellar, and they're constantly dragged down by very strange choices and quirks. But I believe that there is still value in this. The game excels in areas like character writing, with an incredibly charming cast you will remember long after you beat it; music, and I cannot overstate this, the music is incredible; and some of the most bombastic, cinematic fights that videogames as a genre have to offer. It, however, also suffers from strange writing choices that disregard themes the game had been building up to for a large percentage of its playtime, and what could have been a complex and rich combat system that never demands more of you than button-mashing even on the highest difficulty. If what you're looking for is a game about the adventures of a memorable group of flawed individuals trying to make their miserable world a slightly better place, one incredibly epic battle at a time, then I have no doubt you'll enjoy what this game has to offer. Unfortunately, if you're looking for engaging, real-time action combat and for narrative depth to actually go somewhere (anywhere), you may still enjoy it, but will carry with you the same disappointment I do. Frankly, I cannot bring myself to not recommend it. And I've tried! So there must certainly be something in here that's worth experiencing despite the aforementioned caveats. Sometimes, the most memorable pieces of media are the ones we hate a little...

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Vroum vroum vroum !
Here is my honest review after finishing the main game plus all the side quests (~70 hours). Pros: - The gameplay is pretty awesome and the Eikon fights are extremely entertaining to the point I would start a fight and then realize I completely lost track of the last 20 mins. - I quite like the main cast of characters and the story has some really good high points that will make you cry. - The graphics are amazing and the game ran really well on my setup (>120 fps all the time). Cons: - The side quests are extremely boring and 99% of them are "go there and kill that". - Outside of the main cast, the other characters are 1-dimensional and not very compelling. - The gear is extremely bland and just provides simple stat boosts like 6% damage on a specific ability. Should you buy it? If it's on sale. I would not buy it for full price. But if you're looking to kill some time and the game is on sale I would say give it a shot!
After 102 hours, I finally completed every achievement in Final Fantasy XVI. I know many long-time Final Fantasy fans have a low opinion of this game, but I genuinely loved it. FF XVI is only my second Final Fantasy game after FF XV, and it is also the first 3a game that I have finished twice and earned every achievement in. The combat is straightforward and does not require too much thinking made it relaxing and enjoyable for me. The incredible spectacle, boss fights, music and cinematic moments constantly surprised me. However, the game definitely has its problems. It gives you far too few Ability Points, so even during a second play through, you still have to deliberately grind for levels and AP. Enemies in New Game Plus also have too much health and often feel like damage sponges. The lack of enemy variety makes the repetition even more noticeable. There is also too large a level gap between the end of the main game and 2 DLC content. After finishing the main story, it feels like the game forces you to complete a lot of side content just to reach the appropriate level for the DLC. People often say that your favourite Final Fantasy will always be your first one. FFXVI was my second, but without a doubt, it has become my favourite. Looking forward to Final Fantasy XVII.
Beautiful graphics, fun not overcomplicated combat, lot's of cutscenes and a very interesting story with strong characters. Of course it has its flaws like some medioce unflavored side-quests that kinda do nor fit with the pace of the story but.. Absolutely recommended.
It took me a bit to get into it, it reminds me a lot of ff14, bit of a pacing issue and some drawn out dialogue. But the music, spectacle and characters had me wanting more. Its def worth your 30+ hour time. I didn't do many of side quests because its just how i play games. But the ones i did are just go get flower and bring back kind of quests. Overall its a great entry to the ff franchise. Plus who wouldn't want listen to Ben star monologue you for hours.,...
