Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

This is one of those weird instances where Steam's logged hour count is probably 100 hours off what I really played. Probably left it running in the background, but to do everything in this game will take you anywhere between 60 to 100 hours. There are issues with FF XIII, but I still am drawn to its outstanding combat system, art direction, and perhaps most of all, its score. The music in this game is simply incredible. I don't think this is the best Final Fantasy game; not by a long shot. But it is a fascinating game that tells a vital story about Square's intentions going into HD game development and the struggles it would bring. I was downtrodden about the lack of towns, overworld, and airship back when I initially played it on the PS3, like many others back in 2010. But Final Fantasy can mean many different things to many different people, and I want Square to be inventive, and continue to experiment and push barriers. I know a lot of people want them to simply do "the Dragon Quest thing" and go back to the old standards. Turn based combat, world map, airship, towns, the whole "Expedition 33" effect. But I think the thing that makes FF interesting is its desire to bend and break the mold. That's why I loved those original games. FF IV is my favorite game in the series, but I don't really want them to make FF IV again. We've had turn based FF in games like Octopath Traveler II and Dragon Quest will remain comfort food to those that crave the NES/SNES RPG's of yore. Anyway, not the best game, but not a bad game. This port is still a little frustrating, but it is ultimately the best way to play the game in 2026, barring the Xbox 360 version running backcompat on a Series X. Check it out if you're at all interested.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.67/day in the week to Aug 4 → 6/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Final Fantasy XIII is easily one of my favorite games of all time. I know this game has always been controversial because of how linear it is, but honestly, that's one of the things I appreciate about it. The game keeps moving. You're not spending hours wandering around trying to figure out where the story is or what you're supposed to do next. It feels focused, cinematic, and constantly pushes you forward. Even all these years later, the presentation is incredible. The environments are beautiful, the soundtrack is phenomenal, the voice acting is strong, and the cutscenes still feel like you're watching a high-budget Final Fantasy movie. There are moments in this game that look better than games released years later. The story is what really keeps me invested, though. It's emotional, serious, mysterious, and constantly gives you another reason to keep going. I love games where the characters are thrown into something much bigger than themselves and you slowly start uncovering what is actually happening alongside them. XIII does that extremely well. The combat also becomes far deeper than it first appears. Once the Paradigm system really opens up, battles become fast, strategic, and extremely satisfying. You're constantly changing roles and adapting instead of just selecting "Attack" over and over again. Is it perfect? No. The beginning takes a while to give you full control of the battle system, and I understand why the linear structure isn't for everyone. But I think this game was judged way too harshly for trying something different. Final Fantasy X is still my favorite Final Fantasy because the Tidus and Yuna relationship gives it an emotional connection that is almost impossible to beat, but XIII is right behind it. Beautiful. Emotional. Cinematic. Focused. Unforgettable. I absolutely love this game.
Dude im loving this game but what is up with the random crashes and low quality cutscenes?????
Game needs auto saves it crashes too much.
Just watch the cutscenes on youtube. The gameplay is some of the most awful ♥♥♥♥ I've ever seen. How did they come to this when FFX had such an amazing combat system? Actually mind-boggling. There's 2 modes in which you play this game: 1) brainlessly spam auto-ability with some random jobs on the team and bruteforce most encounters 2) strategy 1 didn't work because the enemy has a gimmick so now you gotta retry with different jobs assigned, now you can get back to brainlessly spamming auto-ability :) Taking more than half a second to think about what you want to do in a fight (i.e. not spamming auto-ability), means you're wasting your ATB, while the mob keeps attacking you. Genuinely awful game design. The above gameplay issues are made even worse with how janky this game's menus and systems are. I wouldn't mind changing my strategies for a specific mob that kicked my ass if it wasn't such a pain to do so. Also, it took more than 3 hours to get access to basic features like multiple jobs and actual character progression where you spend points for stats/skills...????? Why? The intro is just unnecessarily drawn out thanks to wayy too many enemies and wayyyyyy too big dungeons. What for? You can't even spend points to learn stuff to make the "gameplay" a bit more interesting. It's just 3+ hours of mashing auto-ability with no payoff. It's too bad, because I really liked the story, but playing this game is a miserable experience
Didn't expect much due to the reviews but it's a really good game, I enjoyed it a lot.
thank u for keeping this on the store
One of my favourite games in the FF series. Plays great on PC or Steam Deck, but only complaint is there's no quit game option, so you have to alt-tab out to stop the game.
i like lightning but there are literally no good final fantasy games. the story is all made by writers one crack, the combat in this one is complete garbage, you don't get to customize your party for the first 20 hours it seems, hallway designs, cancerous trash enemies, absolute slop of a game and almost as bad as ff7. legit one of the worst franchises in gaming
Game music is all good!
