BUYER BEWARE - search for FF X patch before playing, there should be called something Special K or 4GB I knew how it ends, yet still cry after replay. They don't make Final Fantasy like this anymore.
Game is pretty much unplayable. Spent 40 mins trying to figure out how to get my controller working. Then after, I was hit with green screen cutscenes. Installed the 4gb patch, sorted out my controller issues. Then, game decides to crash randomly. I played FFX halfway through on my PS Vita years ago and this port has great graphics and good framerates but trying to play this game on PC is a struggle. Game itself is a great FF entry and I will start anew on my PS vita.
This was one of the first FF games I have played. 30 minutes is all it took for me to refund this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. It crashes constantly, old and outdated. For a remaster this blows, it was only $12 but for some reason i'm still pissed off. waiting for a refund request currently. I don't think I ever wrote a negative review before. But I can't even get out of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ prologue without it freezing on me.
What is there to say that hasn't been said already? It's the same amazing game that many of us played way back in the early 2000's with some added content the original US release never got like the Dark Aeons and Penance. The PC version also has optional boosters like Turbo, Supercharge, No Encounters (completely eliminating the need for a No Encounters armor) and this doubles as increasing encounters too, Auto Battle which just makes your characters do their standard attack and Hide HUD. Also has some cheats like 99 of all consumables, max gil and unlock all skills. The Boosters are fantastic for grinding and capturing 10 of every monster for the Monster Arena. The autosave function is way better than I expected it to be too. That said, I got 3 crashes in FFX so far. They happened immediately after saving so not a huge issue but worth noting. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend this version of FFX over the others. No comment on FFX-2 since I haven't played it yet. Also, if you're playing on the Steam Deck or otherwise Linux in general, add the following to your Steam Launch Options to fix the green screen cutscene problem; PROTON_FORCE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE=0 %command%
First of all I would like to say I love FFX its by far my favourite in the series and holds great nostalgia value to me. This remake package though is appallingly cobbled together there are constant crashes to the point where I genuinely recommend people play ffx through an emulator for better stability. It makes no sense that there are mods for this that apparently improve the constant crashes yet the publisher hasnt even bothered to see if they can in any way patch it from their end. It really highlights the quality drop and cash seeking behavior of the once great game development companies. Shame on you Square Enix. TLDR downvote for the brutal implementation on PC but upvote for the actual original game.
Uno dei giochi più belli di sempre
me cry
Crash simulator. As good of a game this is, SQEX refuses to stabilize this game and its been several years. The community patches dont work constantly with everyone either so literally play this somewhere else more stable. They wont fix it
love can you find you no matter where you go; live for yourself and be there for your friends is the real moral of this game to cast aside the past; to see change and to be change too u gotta play it
