Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; Epic, Nintendo publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Reviews
Pretty graphics, good optimization, nice characters, awesome voice acting (JP), awful and stupid combat system, no keyboard/mouse support and basically no plot. Music is great, but quite often have no sense for a scene. In the end it's just very overrated. Not great, not terrible.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 26: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Same day: best BR #14, worst KR #74 · 13 markets collected
US · last 30 days
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 37.89/day in the week to Aug 4 → 46/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

+ Great graphic + Perfectly optimized, even for low-mid PC + Good story + Fun gameplay - Not the best combat for JRPG, weird mix between hack and slash and turn-based - Too short
*If this is your first time playing FF7 than I do not recommend this version of the game. FF7Remake and Etc. are games made for people who have already played the original. If it is your first go at FF7 than I recommend you play the original first. I know the graphics are a bit tougher for some people but there are mods to help sharpen things up. I do recommend this game, it's just that you should really play the original first. *I also want to state that I played a little of the original before, "in the past," but I didn't grow up with it. So, I think my review won't be tainted with rose tinted glasses. *There are just a few things that I'll mention as negatives about the remake. 1.) The characters won't shut-up. This is a modern gaming problem but throughout the game, "mostly combat," the characters are consistently yapping. Berrets battle phrase, "UHHH, OHHH, YEAAA, GOTTTTA LOVE IT!" are burned into my skull. While I don't mind some dialog from time-to-time, it's the no-stop generic player phrase #4 playing all the time that gets annoying. This also interferes with some of the more important scenes. "I think at least." During the story, significant things will occur and it would be a good time for the game to slow down and let the player take in what happened. But its kinda hard to do that when generic positive victory phrase #6 plays after beating a magical flying cardboard box and the walking corn stalks that grow ears of banana's and duel weld roundup bottles. 2.)The padding. This game has a lot of unnecessary padding in it. The new additional story lines giving backstory to characters are fine but the game drags a lot of stuff out way more unnecessarily than it needs to. At the time of this review I have 35 hours in the game and I just now got to one of the end game area's. In the original, "No-spoiling," I was a lot further ahead. The original has a few pacing problems but it's still a lot tighter than Remake. It feels like it was getting to the point of just wasting your time. This is what drove me back to the original and start from scratch. 3.)To much hand holding. In the original there are a lot of items that can easily be missed and while there are a few items like that in Remake, most of the items will be more layed out for you to find. Part of the fun of a game is just exploring, going out and discovering odd secrets or items hidden throughout the game. When everything is condensed to, follow marker on minimap to complete optional objective, it just kinda gets old, it sorta loses the magic. The side missions in Remake are a good idea but it's all numbered for your collection. There's no chance of accidently missing something that may have led to good gear, that you may not have even known was there. Another example is at wallmarket. (Non-spoiler.) At one of the *things there that you can do. If you wanted to get picked than you had to do a lot of side stuff to achieve it. In Remake you just do a minigame and no matter what your going to get picked. 4.)Grinding is useless. With remake being it's on thing from Intergrade and so on, there really isn't any need to grind levels / weapons / materia or anything. When you go into Intergrade, you'll get a few trinkets but your stats are reset. Whereas in the original, everything you do will carry over to the end of the game. I'll speak shortly on a few things I do like. 1.) The music is good, most of it's from the original but some are redone and it sounds nice. 2.) The voice acting is nice. It's good to hear how their voices could sound like. 3.) The character graphics are nice. I point out the characters because I still prefer the prerendered FMV backgrounds of the original. "My opinion is biased though because I was using mods to upscale and sharpen everything." I like the updated characters but still prefer the older backgrounds. In total, I don't think FF7Remake is a bad game. This review would be mixed if steam allowed it. However, *if you are brand new to FF7 than I seriously recommend that you play the original first. ----Remake is made for people who already played the original. This game will pull out the Memberberries and your going to be confused. An example will be a character named Cait Sith, this is a character that won't show up until later in the original game but after a few incidents in the Remake, he randomly shows up. If you never played before than your not going to know who this person is or why he's even there, your going to be confused. But if you played the game before than you'll member.
