Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; PlayStation, Epic, Nintendo publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Reviews
I played this on Switch and as a huge Final Fantasy VII fan, I was really excited for the Midgar content. the core gameplay is satisfying as always, but the ending of this game/story is really bad... just like the Game of Thrones finale. What a disappointment. just play the original

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Same day: best JP #17, worst PL #68 · 13 markets collected
US · last 30 days
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 36.33/day in the week to Aug 4 → 40/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Who ever in charge of game design, thankyou for make me lose interest on Final Fantasy 7. FF7 Remake was amazing, but this? This is just yakuza game slap with FF7 for skins, might as well rename it into Final Fantasy VII Yakuza. I don't mind with bunch of mini game and side quest, but put mini game in main quest? You really want to kill your fan base huh. Congratulation you did it!!!
Even if it's on sale - it's not worth your time. Story is fine, but I felt it grating on me (personally, not a critique of design) because of the open world. The open world is abysmal. Everything is marked on your map that you can interact with, there's virtually zero sudden, surprising, or interesting side missions. Each area has a character side quest storyline, which is just "I'm lazy - go do things for me"; has a mini-game mechanic of varying fun; has a ID ENTICAL mako lifespring quicktime event - 3 in each area; has a set of exploration Far-Cry towers; and has random chests. When going from that to a story riddled with mini-games, which is not inconsistent with the original - it makes the whole experience feel like a waste of time. No matter how good the story is, when the break from story mini-games is time wasting low quality missions, the whole experience suffers. Combat is just alright. It's fun, but there isn't much of a point to swap characters besides activating the character skills (which you can do from one character's pov anyway), or to use their moveset - of which only a few are actually fun. It was fun, but not super well designed. I only played Tifa the whole game with, again, zero reason to swap. I don't see why it was a feature, especially when you have to have Cloud in the party most the game. "Oh but options", yeah options that have near-zero depth or strategy. It serves no purpose besides pandering.
i dont recommend this game i liked the first one but this one sucks
Good game but you need to apply this setting in nvidia control panel to fix stutter First Open control panel Go to Program setting Add Final Fantasy rebirth Change these setting Preferred refresh rate [ Highest available ] Max Frame Rate [ 90 ] Game cap broken cause stutter make sure in game cap 120fps Vertical sync On this will reduce screen tearing Hope this work for you guys
TLDR: Every aspect of this game suffers from the worst choices in modern game design. Lets start with the most offensive part of the game, there are so many things in this game that gets in way of the story, from presentation, to tutorial spam, and forced fed characters. FF7 has the best story in all of FF that I've seen if not all of gaming. All the gameplay in the beginning hours undermine it. Starting with a scene where Sephiroth takes 2 minutes to strike down a group of villagers, who all have guns, and as they stand there and watch each villager get killed they simply dont even think to raise their guns. As you have to hold QTE buttons to crawl towards them. https://youtu.be/wv9VnAhUQ6w?si=H25X6ZLRsClWu0YU&t=3972 Go to 1:05:52 for example. We have the inn keeper helping you to rush out of the starting town while Shinra is sending airships to track you down, Shinra is right outside the building and before you run he says btw here's a device the size of a cell phone that you can use to transmute any 2 items together, and a big tutorial pops up. https://youtu.be/PmN4JquBask?si=aV1o8ZZaV4KGKTJM&t=10656 Go to 2:57:00 for example. It is so intrusive I cant find a video where it doesn't get edited out. The last thing I will say on the story is that I hate Chadley. Besides how annoying it is to do his VR arena to unlock Summons instead of finding them through out the world (since exploration is just a checklist in this game) it makes no sense that we are trusting this android. We save Red XIII from Hojo the vile POS and 2 days later we are talking to this android, who admits he was created by Shinra and Hojo, and instead of Red XIII biting his head off, we agree to help him in combat/materia research. There are a lot of things that took me out of the story in the first 2 chapters I played, but Chadley is the number 1 worst of them all. I could go on but lets end this rant with the map. I dont want to get into all the annoying stuff there is around the combat that just gets in the way of what is a fun combat system, but I do want to say that another big reason I stopped playing this game is because of the map. Everything you might hate about Ubisoft games is exactly what this map is. Its not like Farcry where you find fun stuff to do and you get little upgrades on the way by exploring, its more like if you were playing assassins creed and every icon on the map upgrades your character. The map is just a series of checklists that you have to walk to, you walk to each scout tower (yes scout towers in 2026) and each one you check off reveals where ALL the things on this big ass map you can do is. From items, chests, an entire moogle collectable currency shop mechanic, and upgrading your summons. You have to check off each tower, and check off each thing the tower reveals to upgrade your characters. The shear tedium got me to put the game down, and im pretty sure im never going back, because the reward is getting kicked in the balls while trying to enjoy an incredible story. I know at least 3 other people who couldnt finish the game, the tedium was too overwhelming in the end. In 10 years this series will be the star wars prequals of video games, and everyone will be saying "yeah I always knew they were overrated.".
Dream game.
Good God. What did those anime-addled, Japanese boomers do to this story.
