Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

This is how not to do a sequel, horrible fps on my absolute rig of a pc, ubislop it with a pointless open world objectives and forced into playing characters I do not enjoy. Absolute shame after how good remake was!

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Same day: best BR #15, worst KR #64 · 13 markets collected
US · last 30 days
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 36.33/day in the week to Aug 4 → 40/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Not as godo as the first game, not as big fan of th eopen worls stuff, It' spointless and doesn't really help the story.
There's a few things here that you can definitely hate on. There are a lot of minigames, far too much. The exploration of the open world amounts to basically something you'd expect to see out of a typical Ubisoft game. Cid and Vincent find sneaky ways to stay out of combat because they need to premiere in the 3rd game. But this is what I thought of when I heard of "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" back in 2006. Exactly what I wanted. The extended segments add so much in terms of story and character, the Loveless segment had me in tears, and I was honestly incredibly moved by that ending. It let me have my cake and eat it too, in terms of what I wanted, without sacrificing the integrity of the narrative. And I really enjoy the entire party staying together throughout the story so you have these character moments that just couldn't happen in the PS1 version. MVPs in terms of characters getting a boost would be Yuffie, Cid, and Cait Sith. Cid overwent quite a makeover, which honestly suits him pretty well and makes him more in tune with a younger version of his Kingdom Hearts counterpart. At the end of the day, of course I can recommend this to someone who loved part 1, or loved the original game. There's so much to enjoy here. And I cannot wait for Part 3 to come to fruition. I'll be waiting with baited breath.
The game itself is absolutely phenomenal, the way you see the story unfold is just amazing and having played og ff7 adds even more to the feelings of what your playing. Though the game has serious issues regarding performance. I literally had so many moments where the game would randomly drop in frames like TOO much to the point where even in cutscenes i had to pause it a bit just for things to smooth out cuz it was too much. I never had this issue with Intergrade. Sadly this performance issue seems to be an issue since the game released on pc cuz ur gonna see tons of reviews just mention how horrible it STILL IS. Thankfully DLSS saved me a bit and made the experience a bit more playable and the dips where much less but it still happened every now and them. Also the game has a serious filler issue. Like this game is just so amazing but some chapters just feel so stretched and just feel like pure filler. TOO MANY MINIGAMES that should be OPTIONAL. It got so bad to the point where i had to drop the game for at least a month or 2 to pick it back up to Finally get through it and Finish it today as im making this review. The game itself is beautiful the battle system literally expands and makes it better than the previous part. The characters u just end up falling in love with them more since it expands on what intergrade already did as a base. If u can put past the performance issues and push through the filler u might honestly fall in love with the game especially if u like story driven rpgs. But then again i can completely understand the people that just wouldnt like this and just skip this cuz of all the filler. But its honestly a great game. I loved it despite the performance and filler stuff.

Quite liked the game overall, probably loved it, but really just because I love the characters so much. I can endlessly run around with Cloud, Tifa, Barret, and Aerith, and I think if you feel the same way then you will really enjoy the game too. In a more critical light though, the open-world is really just fine. It isn't the kind of open-world akin to that of Elden Ring or The Witcher 3 or some such, it's more like an Ubisoft open-world; you activate towers that tell you where other things are on the map, then you go to those icons and do the thing, for every map. You do a QTE, or fight an enemy, or get some stuff, it doesn't change a whole lot and isn't really that interesting. Not that I don't enjoy the combat, I do really enjoy the combat but I do think that the open world activities can really be summed up as you just "doing stuff", it's busywork unfortunately, offset only by my love of the characters. That's not the worst thing in the world, there is a place in videogames for that kind of open-world but I do wish that I could say that the FF7 Rebirth world was stellar whereas in actuality it's just... fine. The "world" from a gameplay standpoint, the world as in narrative and world-building and such is brilliant, fantastic, and I adore it. As is the art direction. Wonderful. The combat is good too, as I said, I really like the new synergy attacks and how they influence your relationship to a degree (although, it could probably be more). I love that there is a deflect/parry, it really adds to the flow of combat. The narrative itself is good, but it does leave a lot on the table. Ultimately, I have more questions now than I did at the end of the first, and that is OK given there is going to be another game, but the narrative here definitely does feel like a stepping stone. That's probably fine, there are good moments of course, I enjoyed the narrative, but it is hard to comment much without the third game. It feels like you could beat this game very fast if you ran through it, some areas are done fairly quickly. I wish there were more dungeons in the game, or more smaller areas in between the larger ones, more places like the mine. Overall, I think you should play this game. However, I will admit that if you were bored by the first, I am not sure that this game will be any more enjoyable for you. Oh one last thing, I am surprised at how buggy the game is, a few years on too. I am playing this fairly late and the game is buggier than expected. Not exceptionally buggy, not really "buggy" even, not buggy enough that I would describe it as such, but still I encountered more bugs than I expected I would.
