Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; PlayStation, Epic, Nintendo publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

I stopped, as you might guess from the hours in the game, playing this very near the end. The cumulative weight of the numerous minor annoyances (tedious mini-games, uncooperative camera that sets you up to face tank hits, etc.) just became too much and I was no longer having fun with the game. Certainly not enough to care about finishing it.
holy moly, literally everything about this game sucks. The combat is okay sometimes. Literally everything inbetween the fights feels like I'm being punished for supporting the devs. My fault. The tutorial is you vacuuming your childhood dreams into a dirtdevil the size of my eyes when I heard this game was being remade. What a joke. ♥♥♥♥ this game. I wish I had remembered to shut my PC down so I could refund it. What an affront to everything that Final Fantasy meant to the people that grew up with it. ♥♥♥♥ used to matter. It's so wild to just take one of the only cool things that people ever made and turn it into whatever you wanna call this. I'm so sorry to everyone who grew up w 7. You deserved better.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Same day: best FR #11, worst KR #43 · 13 markets collected
US · last 30 days
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 36.33/day in the week to Aug 4 → 40/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

As a FF lover and OG FF7 lover this game is terrible Every single section is filled with so much bloat that all meaning and impact is lost Several characters are totally changed for the worse (Red 13 being the worst) I tried for weeks hating the game hoping for it to pick up, it never did. I've never seen a game more full of bloat I actually like some of the multi-verse stuff, theres essentially 2 parallel stories that i think will meet/merge in the 3rd one but the pacing is now a snails pace. Cosmo Canyon has been like 3 hours and theres no sight in end, its insane. I have hopes for the 3rd game, and I think vincents gameplay might be insanely good, but im worried. Im very glad I played the OG first, people online say you dont need to but theyre lying The game still only partially makes sense, but without the ogs context I would have been screwed
100% padding. This entire game is a few pointless minigames and a couple of super tiny "open world" maps. I spent about 7 hours running around the second city trying to figure out which of the 200 identical characters you need to talk to before playing a rhythm game to finally leave. I found 4 out of 10 before deciding i'd rather be playing something fun and quitting. It's interesting to see the FF7 characters rendered in modern graphics, but the nostalgia runs out fast.
An unbelievable slog of filler. Every cut scene incredibly drawn out, every QTE has way more prompts than required, every button interaction takes a 2 second long press when a single would be fine. Why dude? This ♥♥♥♥ is like pulling teeth. I REALLY wanted to feel the same way about this game as i did the remake, it was so good and captivating it honestly hurts my feelings that its so short of the last installment.
Even better than FF7 REMake in every aspect and the graphics are perfect if you use correct HDR settings. Don't let yourself be deceived by windows folks struggling with HDR and recommending the shader injection mod. Don't use it.
this was a wonderful experience. as someone who didn't really enjoy how artificially bloated and linear remake was, this game was a huge surprise. with a charming cast of characters that i laughed with, wept and rooted for, beautiful music, stunning art direction and fresh new take on this classic tale, i had a great time overall. my only criticism is how shallow and mindless the open world exploration feels, but otherwise i had fun throughout.
Such a slog. Like a Ubisoft game.
At the time of writing this review I have 7.3 hours of play time. I haven't played the game yet, those 7.3 hours are just from launching the game and testing various fixes for the insane stuttering I experience when I move the camera. I thought it was possible Linux was the issue so I installed Windows 11 and it was just as bad.
