highly recommend. ive looked forward to playing this specific final fantasy game for years
just started playing for the first time, feels like a good, charming, cozy game. exceeded my expectation of how good a 26 year old game could be. best played with memoria + moguri mod, and shaderglass crt shaders for optimal experience. looks amazing. i'll sure be playing a lot more to see how it ends.

There's so much to enjoy here - many of these characters are so endearing and fascinating, the entire aesthetic is exactly what I wish the series could dabble in again, and there's so many little moments that really bring this world to life. ...I just wish the plot wasn't so glacially paced in the first half, that half of the party could have a stronger reason to join the adventure (or have arcs & screentime for longer), and that the key battle loop was actively engaging. Undeniably one of the most notable and most ambitious releases on the PS1, I just think I've had my fill shortly after I began Disc 3. I'd love to check out the rumored remake that's in development if it helps to address my issues with it!
