An Arcade Game with twists!

What this game is:
It is an arcade game that will cause you some fingers and wrist cramps by making you bring a ball through a maze and different obstacles to an exit point.
How does it work?
You have to click on a ball and and drag it through a maze WITHOUT touching the walls. On the way you will encounter moving obstacles and hostile figures trying to block your way to the exit. If you touch any of these you die and have to restart anew in order to complete each maze. The game presents you basically with 40 mazes to solve with three levels of performance, granting you with a star for each, up to a maximum of three stars.
How does it perform?
The game is easy to play. This game is intuitive but requires sometimes some serious finger and wrist tensions while you navigate each maze and try to avoid any contact. Everything is timed, as time is what makes you get the stars. There are many mazes that are easy, but you will encounter some that will prove challenging.
The good points:
Simple, efficient and absorbing game. There are 10 Achievements, and getting them is quite easy, except the one demanding the maximum three stars in all mazes. The game requires less than 250 MB on your HD, and will run on a 10 years old PC. Depending on your quickness and physical capabilities, you should get between 1 and 5 hours of play. The game has a hidden level that will DOUBLE the number of mazes to solve, thus improving its value.
The bad points:
There are minimal settings in this game. Basically you can only adjust the screen size and image resolution, but you cannot turn the music off, which eventually becomes a bit ennoying as it is quite loud. There are no Steam Trading Cards. It does not work well on the Steam Deck as there are no controller settings programmed into it, making almost impossible to get all Achievements using this platform. By default you will be using the trackpad on the Steam Deck as if it were a mouse, a less than ideal solution taking in context how the game works.
My take on this:
This game is OK, but be aware that if you suffer from tendinitis, this game might prove to cause problems. The basic price is OK, but I would recommend buying this game when it is for sale, which is bound to happen from time to time.
Feel-A-Maze is a compact arcade puzzle game developed by Five Archers Games and published by Strategy First that embraces a timeless gameplay formula centered on skill, precision, and persistence. Rather than relying on an elaborate story or cinematic presentation, it delivers an experience built around guiding a rolling ball through increasingly demanding mazes while racing against the clock. Its uncomplicated premise immediately makes the game approachable, yet its carefully crafted stages ensure that success depends on sharp reflexes, accurate movement, and an eagerness to improve with every attempt. The game's straightforward design highlights the appeal of classic arcade challenges where mastering the mechanics is far more rewarding than simply reaching the finish. The core gameplay is easy to understand but surprisingly difficult to perfect. Players navigate a ball through 40 handcrafted maze levels, each featuring unique layouts that gradually introduce tighter corridors, sharper turns, and more demanding navigation. Every stage requires balancing speed with precision, as reckless movement often leads to costly mistakes that can ruin an otherwise promising run. Although the controls remain simple throughout the experience, the increasing complexity of the maze designs ensures that later levels demand careful planning, route memorization, and consistent execution. This gradual rise in difficulty creates a satisfying sense of progression without overwhelming newcomers. One of the game's strongest features is its emphasis on replayability. Every level awards up to three stars based on completion time, encouraging players to revisit earlier stages in search of faster and cleaner performances. Rather than simply finishing each maze once, players are motivated to refine their techniques, discover more efficient paths, and optimize every movement. This star-rating system transforms what could have been a short experience into a rewarding challenge for completionists and speedrunning enthusiasts alike. Steam achievements further reinforce this progression by providing additional objectives that reward dedication and mastery. Visually, Feel-A-Maze adopts a clean and colorful presentation that keeps the focus firmly on gameplay. The environments are uncluttered, making it easy to identify pathways and obstacles without unnecessary distractions. The interface is equally straightforward, displaying essential information such as remaining time and performance ratings in a clear and accessible manner. While the graphics are relatively modest compared to larger modern releases, they effectively complement the game's arcade-inspired philosophy, where responsive controls and readability are far more important than graphical complexity. The game's structure is particularly well suited for players who enjoy short gaming sessions. Individual levels can often be completed within minutes, making Feel-A-Maze an excellent choice for quick bursts of entertainment. At the same time, the pursuit of perfect times and maximum star ratings provides substantial replay value for those who enjoy improving through repetition. Every failed attempt feels like a lesson rather than a punishment, encouraging players to jump back in immediately with a better understanding of the course ahead. This satisfying loop captures the addictive nature of classic arcade games where small improvements gradually lead to complete mastery. Another enjoyable aspect is the inclusion of online leaderboards, allowing players to compare their fastest completion times against others. This competitive feature extends the game's lifespan well beyond its main set of levels, giving skilled players an incentive to continually optimize their performances. Competing for better rankings transforms even familiar stages into exciting opportunities to shave off precious fractions of a second, adding an extra layer of motivation for those who appreciate time-trial challenges. Despite its strengths, Feel-A-Maze is not without shortcomings. Because the gameplay revolves around a single mechanic from beginning to end, some players may eventually desire greater variety in objectives or environmental design. Those seeking a narrative-driven experience or evolving gameplay systems may find the overall formula somewhat repetitive after extended play sessions. Nevertheless, the game never promises anything beyond its arcade roots, and it succeeds by delivering exactly what it sets out to accomplish with polished controls and thoughtfully designed levels. Overall, Feel-A-Maze is an enjoyable and well-crafted arcade maze game that succeeds through simplicity, responsive gameplay, and rewarding progression. Its accessible controls, increasingly challenging stages, replay-focused structure, and competitive leaderboard support create an experience that remains engaging for players who appreciate precision-based gameplay. Although its minimalist presentation and singular focus may limit its appeal to those looking for greater variety, it stands as a satisfying test of skill that rewards patience, practice, and determination. Rating: 8/10
This game is genuinely the least fun game I've ever played on Steam.
