About
Feeble Origins is a small adventure with a retro tone that puts the spotlight on the melee class of adventurer and trades away the complexity of modern gaming for a classic feel. Instead of experience points and sprawling skill trees, your progression comes from meaningful gear upgrades, the story you uncover, and the world itself.
Your travels have led you to Makestone, a quiet village perched on ruins so old only the Giants can pronounce them. Adventurers have chased its rumors for generations, and the few who return don’t offer much in the way of details. The abandoned loot they left behind is what brought you here in the first place. Now that you’ve arrived, it’s up to you to discover what lies beneath Makestone Village…and pick up whatever you can carry out along the way.
The world of Feeble Origins is non-linear and becomes more open the more you progress, letting you choose your path with each quest. Venture further into the woods, descend into crypts, or brave the caverns. Each location holds its own secrets, puzzles, and fragments of a deeper story.
Every new weapon or armor piece is a meaningful upgrade, with each choice making a difference in gameplay style. Combat is straightforward but viscerally satisfying, with each swing, block, and dodge feeling earned.
With each quest, you'll uncover pieces of a growing mystery: Why are the dead rising? Who is behind it? And what lies beneath Makestone Village?
Feeble Origins is built to evoke the warmth of retro RPGs--not through pixel-perfect imitation--but through tone, pacing, and simplicity. It's a game that respects your time, rewards your curiosity, and invites you to settle into its rhythm.

Its still very early goings on this game so far but its got full controller support and while not the most eye pleasing game i've played, there's something about this gem that pulls me in again and again. Do yourself a favor and get in on this one now to support the developer.
Featured in my Lost on Steam Episode 6!
Rather just check the video instead of read? Me too: https://youtu.be/o27cvILIlHo I started a new short segment called "Lost on Steam" which features games that have few reviews for one reason or another. Definitely not necessarily negative, just games that slipped by people. This is one of the featured games this week! A Feeble Saga is game that could be much more than it is. It suffers from a really bland selection of monsters and a rather confusing map / exploration system. Combat is EXTREMELY basic having not much more than a slice to attack monsters, no matter the weapon you're using. Exploration feels tedious and the areas to explore aren't anything noteworthy. Honestly the project feels a little too ambitious for the people that made it. If combat were more involved I could rate it higher and look past the issues, but it's not. tl;dr - Combat is too simple. Game is too tedious. Needs a lot of work before a worthy release happens. An unboxing for video games! At first this game looked good but then you start seeing the issues. The map is buggy, it will stay cropped sometimes. Also, the map doesn't show you where you are and is very minimalistic. The catacombs is redundant maze and gets boring after a while. To make matters worse, the dev downgraded the graphics on December, which removed the smooth graphics to make it a PS1 graphics with a CRT TV effect. The CRT TV effect looks awful, most noticeable on the UI.
great game so far. i finished the catacombs, and got the key to go further but said coming soon so not much to do except collect coins, cant wait next update
enjoyed this game so far are waiting for the next instalment sword sharpened and ready for the frey when will this happen?
Just awesome , worth the money and the most important its worth your time :)
Cool little game. It would be nice to have block system And add patrol to creatures in the dungeon like the bandits , they are always standing still, they would feel more alive I collected the ore from the dungeon but it didnt go to my inventory, now the blacksmith doesnt finish his quest. Is it possible to open the wooden bandit gate? Like the catacomb key? didnt try it, so I think I finished the game so far
Fun game! Definitely worth the price of admission, and it's updated with new content frequently.
I like the gameplay and graphics a lot - it's very reminiscent of my favorite RPG/Dungeon Crawler, FATE, which is sadly only available for Windows platforms (so I've had to use BootCamp to install and run it). However, it's obviously a new game and could use some tweaking. I saw that the developer replied to a comment regarding the difficulty with keeping track of your location, so I'm awaiting the update that'll add a map to the game. There's another issue relating to location: when you die, you start from REALLY far behind where you ended at. I got to a cemetery deep in the woods and started back at the gate between the town and the woods after dying. Perhaps the developer could add some slightly more frequent checkpoints so we're not always starting back at square one? I think this game would benefit from the addition of some more elements from any of the FATE games. For instance, I immediately noticed that this game has no female avatars available. In FATE, you get to choose a male or female character, customize it, and select a pet dog or cat as a companion and fighting partner. There's also a lack of items available to buy from shops and traveling salesmen. I'd like to see some variety (and maybe some magical items, if that's possible). Last thing - when you use a portal to go back to town and you come back, the monsters and bandits you already killed are back somehow. It'd be nice if they'd just stay dead. It seems like a waste of time killing what was already dead a second time. Even though this game could use some work, I recommend that other fans of RPGs, Dungeon Crawlers, and Adventure/Quest games give it a try. I'm enjoying it despite its flaws. (:
