The silent union of two girls begins to dissolve in an abandoned high school. A melancholic and liminal short story played in a single sitting, where the fear of collapse is felt at every moment.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
How to Say Goodbye to a Loved One T_T

Introduction
Dissolution of the Silent Union is a yuri, slightly psychological horror, visual novel developed and published by Umigame Studios. You're Vera, a teenager who has recently graduated from Velyograd High School. As Vera is sitting in the high school's cafeteria (the school is either abandoned or there are no classes), she reminisces about the time she spent with her girlfriend, Lena, visiting various places in and around the school. Vera's attachment to Lena is very strong, so she has difficulty letting her go... As for the gameplay, there are choices in where Vera can visit, such as the school's balcony or chemistry lab. Also, she can choose to engage in activities via clicking on items. There are a total of 6 heartbreak (yes, bad) endings along with the true ending. Animated scenes and photographic backgrounds are present as well as a varied, emotional soundtrack and full-on English voice acting. In addition, Steam achievements are available, and they count towards a user's global total.
Review
Continuing to review games for the Fall in Love Festival, the developer reached out to me and asked if I'd like to cover Dissolution of the Silent Union. I was happy to, and gosh, after finishing the story, I just feel way emotional, but I'm getting ahead of myself. XD
Story and Gameplay
The story's setting drew me in right away. It starts off with a sadder, melancholic tone, with Vera reminiscing about her final days in school before graduation and especially, spending time with Lena. As we're learning about events from Vera's perspective, we get glimpses into her character, and she comes off as being sad and lonely, with the exception of being around Lena. It is an understandable quirk since some people can only truly open up around one or two people. (I sort of get the feeling that Vera is an introvert.) The relationship between Vera and Lena is more on the emotional side, and it can be interpreted anywhere from being very close friends to girlfriends. (Since this is part of the Fall in Love Festival, I'm going to assume that they're girlfriends. ^^) It's quite the emotional journey, from Vera having difficulty letting go of Lena to quietly resolving that emotional turmoil. As for the writing, it's very well done. The pacing feels perfect, and I didn't notice any typos with the English version. Now, I should note that the storytelling can feel cryptic. For example, it doesn't throw it in the reader's face as to whether Vera and Lena are romantically involved or what happened to Lena that makes Vera reminisce about her. We'd have to infer quite a bit, but we can piece the clues together and figure it out. (There's also a post or two on the discussion boards if anyone wants more clarification.) I like that the story is narrated more like this since it forces the reader to think. As for endings, it may be difficult to get all of them unless you use a guide, and there's a wonderful Steam user guide. I was able to unlock all Steam achievements without any problems although the final one might simply take a bit of time to get it.
Art and Music
With the art, I was floored away. Usually, I'd feel a bit letdown if there are no CGs, and this didn't have any. However, I like how well drawn and colored the sprites are, and there are even animations in pivotal events. The backgrounds generally have a photographic look, which immerses you in Vera's high school life. I should give a heads up that there are parts in the story that have flashing images, which some people are sensitive to, so it's important to keep that in mind if you have photosensitive epilepsy. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3796575224 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3796575340 In regards to the music, the tracks have this emotional vibe, which is perfect for the story that the game conveys. There are bits of horror, too, although it's more psychological than jumpscares. What I was amazed by is the English voice acting I heard. Initially, I thought I'd have to read the text like in a lot of VNs, but I was pleasantly surprised when I heard the VA for Vera, and it gives off that sad, melancholic vibe. Major shoutout to the voice actress.
Conclusion
Would I recommend Dissolution of the Silent Union? If you enjoy deeply thought provoking, emotional stories, don't mind a bit of horror, and/or like getting those Steam achievements, then it's definitely worth a look. Granted, it's on the short side, as it took me less than 2 hours to 100% complete the game and get all the achievements. At the asking price, it's a good deal, especially with how much work and passion was poured into the game, but you can choose to wait for a sale. Finally, I'd like to give a major thank you to Umigame Studios for the review key. Thank you for reaching out to me, and I highly enjoyed this visual novel. It left an emotional impression, which will stay with me for quite a while. ^^
For more detailed, fully complete, high quality reviews like this, please follow The Introverted Gamer, prioritizing heart and soul always. ^^
If I could give this a neutral review, then I would. The writing is mediocre, and the voice feels too bland and emotionless. I know this story is supposed to be a memory, yet it feels distant, and I can't connect with the main character, Vera. I like how metaphorical the writing is, albeit lifeless. I understand the monologues perfectly fine, and I can tell the developer wanted the story to be denser despite its short length. But unfortunately, it didn't work very well because it is shallow and almost feels like it was touched by AI writing. I don't hate the vague ending per se; the story is just not for me.
I really like the general vibe of this game - the arts and pictures were just amazing, and the soundtrack was very climatic - I very much appreciate the work that went into all of this. However I couldn't shake off the feeling, that the story tries to be more deep than it actually is. The overwhelming amount of metaphores and, I guess, "philosophical/poetic" takes made the narrative overly stretched and simply difficult to follow. I couldn't connect to the actual story and the characters.
