About
Fathom's End is a first-person lighthouse keeper simulation set on a lone tower far out in the Atlantic. Miles from land, the lighthouse is yours to run.
You maintain the beacon, manage its systems, respond to radio calls, and keep the light turning through long nights and unpredictable weather.
The work is slow. Long stretches of careful observation, watching over systems that don't always announce when they need attention. The main lamp can blow. The clutch can jam. A breaker trips, the lens dirties, the evaporator needs priming. There are over a dozen systems to learn and monitor, and faults develop whether you're paying attention or not. Every lapse carries weight. It's a slow, tactile experience about isolation, repetition, and quiet persistence.
Immersive first-person simulation – Operate and monitor the lighthouse's systems: lamps, clutch, generator, foghorn, radar, radio, and more. Each one needs regular attention. Neglect has consequences.
Dynamic weather and atmosphere – Experience storms, fog, and calm seas in a detailed and reactive Atlantic environment.
Daily routine and responsibility – Maintain the light, manage resources, and complete daily logs for the Maritime & Navigation Lighthouse Authority.
Isolation as gameplay – Embrace the quiet, the repetition, and the weight of duty. The tower won't run itself and it won't always tell you when something's wrong.
Survival through scarcity – Track hunger and thirst, budget limited funds, and plan carefully to afford infrequent supply drops.
Living world beyond the horizon – Encounter unique radio calls from passing ships and distant stations, hinting at a wider world you’ll never see.
Fathom's End is in Early Access. The current experience represents the core simulation. Substantial new systems, activities, and content are planned to keep the player busy, especially during the quieter moments. Below is the 2026 roadocean map with just a selection of features planned to be added this year alongside significant performance improvements and bug fixes.

Found this game by chance and never thought I'd enjoy a lighthouse keeper simulator so much till I sunk 2 hours into it on my first play! There's just enough going on you can kick back for a bit and just monitor systems (or cook a meal/have something to drink). Really enjoy the pace especially the tutorial, managed to get a laugh out of me and definitely hooked me from the moment I started playing. For an EA this game has a lot already going on and can't wait to see what the dev does from here - 10/10!!
Very relaxing game, I really enjoyed the game even though it ended for me due to running out of gas because I did not make enough money.
Awesome chill game. Hours just flow away. Looking forward to the future!
This sim is honestly so so so fun. The dev has truly outdone themselves on this. My first play I played for 3 hours and it went by so fast. and i couldnt believe how much fun i had. I know this is still an early release but for being an EA its so good. And when its already this good, it can only go up from here. Great game. Great dev. Cant wait to see more!
this game caught my eye and was super interested in playing it. I put an hour into the game and that was enough time to finish the tutorial and a single day. I understand the game is Early Access, but there just isn't enough to do to justify starting the game up to play it in the first place. I found myself after about 20 minutes just scrolling Tiktok on my phone waiting for something to happen for me to do. If the gameplay was any slower this game could pass as a screensaver. In it's current condition there's no way the devs could justify a $20 pricetag. They would be better off adding a horror aspect to it, at least then there would be some form of suspense rather than staring at a display on my desk of a radar display and a couple buttons..
Since the release on April 16, 2026, I’ve spent countless hours playing Fathom’s End in Early Access. From the very beginning, I was impressed by the game’s atmosphere, attention to detail, and the passion behind its development. While playing, I reported several small issues and bugs that I encountered, and I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity by the developer, Lonely Anchor, to become more involved in the testing process. Since then, I’ve been helping test upcoming content alongside a fantastic team of dedicated and experienced community members who have supported the project from the start. Being able to contribute to the development of Fathom’s End has given me an even greater appreciation for the work that goes into creating a game like this. It’s been exciting to see the game evolve, and I’m looking forward to seeing what the future holds for both the game and this promising new developer. Whether you’re looking for a cozy game to unwind with or an immersive simulation that keeps you engaged, Fathom’s End delivers an experience unlike any other. Give it a try—you might just find yourself spending countless hours keeping the light shining
I’ve been waiting a long time for a simulation game like this and honestly Fathom’s End has been amazing so far. It’s one of those games where you can completely relax and just get immersed in the atmosphere, but at the same time no two nights ever feel the same. Some nights everything goes smoothly and you can just enjoy the quiet isolation of the lighthouse, then the next night it suddenly feels like everything is going wrong at once. The game does a brilliant job of making you feel isolated without it ever becoming boring. You really feel like you’re living the life of a lighthouse keeper. You can also tell the developer has put a lot of heart into this game because there’s so much care and detail in it already. Genuinely one of the best simulation games I’ve played in a long while and I can’t wait to see how it grows during development.
Relaxing (mostly!) & lovely, lighthouse keeper sim - perfect for any simulation gamer out there. Really looking forward to how this game develops as more is added!
