Inspired by the god games of old, Fata Deum lets you mold settlements and townsfolk in your image. Will you raise the settlements to splendor, or spur them on to violent debauchery and demons? Watch as a living world grows under your whims.

About
With the power of a god, who will you become?
In Fata Deum you build settlements and compete with other gods for influence. The more followers you have, the more power you wield.
You can lift mortals into the air, toss them around for fun, or guide them with care and help them thrive. Whether you're a warm-hearted deity, a cold-hearted tyrant, or something in between, your playstyle shapes the world. The environment reacts to your actions, becoming bright and beautiful or dark and corrupted.
Mortals will respond to your presence. They’ll pray, plead, and ask for help—or punishment. Grant their wishes, smite them for disobedience, or... just kick them in the butt. Your actions shape not only the world, but your followers' very behaviour.
That’s all too nice? Sacrifice them to summon a mortal or kill them and use their corpses to resurrect some zombies! Steal their energy to get more mana or sacrifice the weak to boost one of your strong warriors. You have many options!
During the day, use your influence on the mortals. Will you bless and inspire them onto good work, or strike fear into their hearts with terrifying visions? But be wary, the townsfolk have their own free will.
At night, you can manipulate settlements. Instruct the mortals to build you mighty temples for worship, farms and lumber mills so that they may prosper, or even to ruin other villages.
Perhaps you’d like to be a tyrant, ruling over a kingdom of debauchery and blood. Raise an army and sacrifice your mortals to summon terrifying demons. Your choice.
Or maybe you do believe in fun, festivities and spreading the love, but have no qualms weakening your enemies by spreading fear - or just hitting them with a Thunderstrike.
As your influence grows, the living world will shape around it, getting ever more vast. Each god manifests their kingdom differently.
Will yours be a kingdom of crops and light, or twisted trees and glowering darkness? You’ll battle gods of Violence, Deceit, Fertility and Pleasure.
Master different challenges set by the goddesses of fate themselves and write your own story as a young deity who grows up to fame and honor.

Reviews
The tutorials always lock up and wont let you finish them. I love it when a game says do this and this then wont actually let you.
It's still in development, but how can I not recommend a god game? The developers are doing a great job trying to revive the genre. It's good fun.

So far it is living up to the genre and giving a feel that the classics had without being the classics. Has taken me a while to finally purchase this one but Mr. Peter is having a rough time with MoA and it is in its early stages so until that is developed and this one stays further in development, it will be Fata Deum to be played. The game is scratching most itches i've had for a god game and powers seem interesting. The implementation of the first person possession has been done well and a welcomed feature in the genre. The cake topper here would be a creature to raise and make into your diabolical demi god. Dont quite understand the hate this game has gotten, of course it isnt B&W but it is a great entry into the genre! I am in a free run vs 1 god but i've gotten to a point where i think i have too many people and it is causing performance issues.
Kennt Ihr noch "Black and White"?
The tutorial was awful and the overall game play was frustrating.
Incredible framework. Very excited to see what the future holds for this title. Still very early in development at the time of writing this review, but even without that in mind, its very engaging
Every game, no matter how cheap it is, has multiple voice-overs, but this one doesn’t. What’s more, it’s full of bugs and isn’t playable at the moment. It will take months and several updates before you can even play it. It has potential, but right now it’s absolutely rubbish.
I bought this game on release day. been following fata deum for year before it was released, looking forward to it. But I only have a steam deck and still after 6 months it doesn't work. do I wait, will it ever work on steam deck or do I request a refund? I really want to play this game
