With the power of a god, who will you become?
In Fata Deum you build settlements and compete with other gods for influence. The more followers you have, the more power you wield.
You can lift mortals into the air, toss them around for fun, or guide them with care and help them thrive. Whether you're a warm-hearted deity, a cold-hearted tyrant, or something in between, your playstyle shapes the world. The environment reacts to your actions, becoming bright and beautiful or dark and corrupted.
Mortals will respond to your presence. They’ll pray, plead, and ask for help—or punishment. Grant their wishes, smite them for disobedience, or... just kick them in the butt. Your actions shape not only the world, but your followers' very behaviour.
That’s all too nice? Sacrifice them to summon a mortal or kill them and use their corpses to resurrect some zombies! Steal their energy to get more mana or sacrifice the weak to boost one of your strong warriors. You have many options!
During the day, use your influence on the mortals. Will you bless and inspire them onto good work, or strike fear into their hearts with terrifying visions? But be wary, the townsfolk have their own free will.
At night, you can manipulate settlements. Instruct the mortals to build you mighty temples for worship, farms and lumber mills so that they may prosper, or even to ruin other villages.
Perhaps you’d like to be a tyrant, ruling over a kingdom of debauchery and blood. Raise an army and sacrifice your mortals to summon terrifying demons. Your choice.
Or maybe you do believe in fun, festivities and spreading the love, but have no qualms weakening your enemies by spreading fear - or just hitting them with a Thunderstrike.
As your influence grows, the living world will shape around it, getting ever more vast. Each god manifests their kingdom differently.
Will yours be a kingdom of crops and light, or twisted trees and glowering darkness? You’ll battle gods of Violence, Deceit, Fertility and Pleasure.
Master different challenges set by the goddesses of fate themselves and write your own story as a young deity who grows up to fame and honor.

The game fells Fantastical altough its only in the beta its so fun and emirsiv. You have so much freedom and fun. It almost fells like you are a real god. I would love i they would a an option to like chat with the other gods so you can make peace or declare war. I also would love if you could decite what goddes you are like wisdom or something like that and that would give you buffs.
Very disappointed, very long way to go before there is even slighly something here........ Missed my refund period!

Some people just want a clone of "that game" from childhood, and this game is a victim of that need. PC Gamer really hurt this game with that review. I hope this game does well, but I purchased in between an update cycle, just before a new update, and did not want to have a dead game. This is not dead and the Devs are seemingly very active. I hope to see this game see its true dream!
Ich hab früher Black & White gespielt und das Spiel geliebt. Fata Deum kommt da nicht ran, aber hat trotzdem nen bischen für Nostalgie Vibes gesorgt.
The Game is an real good made project and could bring the god genre back if the Developers keep making the Game better and better.I also like that it's so black & white inspiring.
I like the game much. The graphics are fine and the game play is fine in my opinion. I like the fact that battles between villages are possible and its fun to watch, also the increasing economy starting with cities surprised me. It still has some performance issues and I (so I think) have a performant PC, especially on the large map with 5 gods. Also there are still some bugs, but hey its still early access. Dear small development studio, please keep up the good work. Edit: Corrected a spelling mistake
Au 1er décembre 2025, je ne recommande pas ce jeu, trop de complication pour pas grand chose et en même temps une sensation d'impuissance malgré notre soi disant toute puissance, les " voix" y compris " la vieille" ne sont même pas un peu amusantes, le narrateur est pour ainsi dire la en trop avec toutes les autres voix déjà présentes. J'ai pris ce jeu et ne vais pas me faire rembourser car il n'est pas cher étant en beta, mais aussi pour encourager les devs, cependant aujourd'hui si vous voulez jouer a un jeu simgod, orientez vous encore sur le bon vieux Black and White et vous vous amuserez plus a mon gout
