With the power of a god, who will you become?
In Fata Deum you build settlements and compete with other gods for influence. The more followers you have, the more power you wield.
You can lift mortals into the air, toss them around for fun, or guide them with care and help them thrive. Whether you're a warm-hearted deity, a cold-hearted tyrant, or something in between, your playstyle shapes the world. The environment reacts to your actions, becoming bright and beautiful or dark and corrupted.
Mortals will respond to your presence. They’ll pray, plead, and ask for help—or punishment. Grant their wishes, smite them for disobedience, or... just kick them in the butt. Your actions shape not only the world, but your followers' very behaviour.
That’s all too nice? Sacrifice them to summon a mortal or kill them and use their corpses to resurrect some zombies! Steal their energy to get more mana or sacrifice the weak to boost one of your strong warriors. You have many options!
During the day, use your influence on the mortals. Will you bless and inspire them onto good work, or strike fear into their hearts with terrifying visions? But be wary, the townsfolk have their own free will.
At night, you can manipulate settlements. Instruct the mortals to build you mighty temples for worship, farms and lumber mills so that they may prosper, or even to ruin other villages.
Perhaps you’d like to be a tyrant, ruling over a kingdom of debauchery and blood. Raise an army and sacrifice your mortals to summon terrifying demons. Your choice.
Or maybe you do believe in fun, festivities and spreading the love, but have no qualms weakening your enemies by spreading fear - or just hitting them with a Thunderstrike.
As your influence grows, the living world will shape around it, getting ever more vast. Each god manifests their kingdom differently.
Will yours be a kingdom of crops and light, or twisted trees and glowering darkness? You’ll battle gods of Violence, Deceit, Fertility and Pleasure.
Master different challenges set by the goddesses of fate themselves and write your own story as a young deity who grows up to fame and honor.

Some people just want a clone of "that game" from childhood, and this game is a victim of that need. PC Gamer really hurt this game with that review. I hope this game does well, but I purchased in between an update cycle, just before a new update, and did not want to have a dead game. This is not dead and the Devs are seemingly very active. I hope to see this game see its true dream!
The Game is an real good made project and could bring the god genre back if the Developers keep making the Game better and better.I also like that it's so black & white inspiring.
Very disappointed, very long way to go before there is even slighly something here........ Missed my refund period!

CAN'T LOAD MY SAVED GAME
Ich hab früher Black & White gespielt und das Spiel geliebt. Fata Deum kommt da nicht ran, aber hat trotzdem nen bischen für Nostalgie Vibes gesorgt.
I dont often write Reviews, but I have to for this. I was hoping this would quench my Want for Black & White 2 again, because its no longer easily available. And to my surprise it does. It feels like an inbetween of the 1st and 2nd Black & White game, like a 1.5 which also makes it stand out as its own Unique game, but still fill that want/need that the Black & White games used to exclusively fill. There is a lot of Potential here, and it is very early access. Like it is still Janky and such, but I find it absolutely worth it if you dont want to go through the hoops that is required to get the old games this is based on. I hope they keep up the good work and keep the updates coming!
j'aime bien le coté Black & white dommage qu'il n'y ai pas de créature. De nombreuses cennes ne sont pas encore implémenté la prise en mains est simple coté déplacement par contre malgré le didacticiel , j'ai du mal à comprendre , il y a dans le jeu huit défis pour gagner la partie, seulement actuellement aucun n'est proposé? pas fini ? difficile d'influencer les adeptes adverses quand ils sont attribuer a un dieux , comprend pas. pour finir ce jeu a encore du chemin à parcourir, jouable mais sans plus.

Au 1er décembre 2025, je ne recommande pas ce jeu, trop de complication pour pas grand chose et en même temps une sensation d'impuissance malgré notre soi disant toute puissance, les " voix" y compris " la vieille" ne sont même pas un peu amusantes, le narrateur est pour ainsi dire la en trop avec toutes les autres voix déjà présentes. J'ai pris ce jeu et ne vais pas me faire rembourser car il n'est pas cher étant en beta, mais aussi pour encourager les devs, cependant aujourd'hui si vous voulez jouer a un jeu simgod, orientez vous encore sur le bon vieux Black and White et vous vous amuserez plus a mon gout
