Was a huge fan of this game as a kid, as it was called Strike Force Bowling on the console platforms. So I decided to give it a shot for the low price and nostalgia. Overall the game functions and runs well, even on newer hardware. Though I will not recommend this compared to the other releases that can be found on consoles. Stages are missing. The Wild West stage is one that doesn't make it here. Also, all characters are unlocked from the start, so nothing really to work for in that regard. The biggest negative here is the missing textures. Many textures just didn't seem to exist. No little marks for the accuracy and power bars while bowling, and even some of the menu boxes just didn't exist. Was buying this for nostalgia and simply just became disappointed. If this game somehow figures out the texture issue, this would instantly be a better game, but in the state it is in at this time, it just doesn't seem worth it. even at the low price point it's currently at. P.S If you do decide to buy, I'll lend you a hand if you actually wish to try this game out yourself. when you go to launch for the first time, Make sure to click the second option. It allows you to configure your options for video. Once you configure that, the game will allow you to launch the game just fine with the first launch button. If you don't do that first, the launch option will give you the PC demo launcher, and ask you to put a disk in when trying to launch the game. Hope I could help some. Have a good day all!

This is a fantastic bowling game. This would be the third time I purchased this game with the first one being for the PC back when it was originally released in early 2000, then I purchased the PlayStation two version and now this one. Let me it would be a fantastic game if it were playable in Windows 10. There are missing textures at certain points in the game but the most glaring one is on the power meter. You can't tell exactly where you are pressing the button to adjust your power and spIN. So unless you want to throw it hard and straight and just guess where the ball is going to go then be sure and check this game out. Otherwise, you'll just waste your money like I did.
Fastlane Bowling is an ancient game from 2000. It's a whopping 23 years old at the time of this review. The game lacks support for any modern gaming display resolutions (or widescreen monitors), hasn't been modernised or updated to run smoothly on modern gaming PCs. Despite this lack of modernisation, it carries a pretty high price tag for such an ancient game. This seems to have been put on Steam as a nostalgia gouge, or just a cash grab to try profit from abandonware. Just like it says on the box, this is a 10 pin bowling simulator designed and optimised for Windows 98/Windows Me. That should probably hammer home just how ancient this is... and it has not aged gracefully. You can play against the AI or even other players, but from what I can see that never happened based on the peak player counts (at least in this Steam abandonware cash grab iteration of the game). From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game only displays in 4:3 pillarboxed aspect ratio, due to the age of the game, it predates the 16:9 widescreen gaming standard established back in 2006. It's possible they're marketing this towards people using an old CRT they found in a dumpster, or this game is being specifically marketed towards people gaming on PC's from 1995... either way, this isn't really acceptable in the modern era of PC gaming. It's obviously not going to look right on a modern 16:9 gaming display. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 2 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. Fastlane Bowling is relatively expensive for an abandonware nostalgia gouge, at $3 USD, and it's not worth it. The game is just too old, hasn't been modernised. And as the old saying goes, you can't go home again. This is also competing with over 9,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
Game broke, unplayable, dont waste your time or money
It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥' bowling
