I purchased [b]Fascist[/b] on release day, the eve of the 250th birthday of the United States of America. A few days prior, after seeing people complain bitterly about it on Reddit, I checked it out and thought it looked good, so I wishlisted it. Right after purchase, I installed it on my [url=https://store.steampowered.com/steamdeck/]Steam Deck[/url] and fired it up, not really knowing what to expect. I clicked [i]"I swear to support and defend the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic, so help me God"[/i], and was dropped into a church. There was a countdown. I looked around, then went outside and saw a massive flagpole with the American flag flying from it. When the countdown hit zero, illegals started jumping toward me. I wasn't sure what they were doing, but I shot them. Then the next wave came: NPCs actually trying to blow up the flagpole. I took them down, so help me God, and I kept at it, wave after wave, taking down illegals, Antifa, NPCs and domestic agitators. It was empowering and entertaining, but eventually I died. From the menu I found a card deck of dangerous targets who could attack the United States and its flag: KKK, journalists, Red Coats, Nazis, even Redditors. When I saw that last one, I then finally understood why those Redditors were complaining bitterly. The game isn't perfect. The text is hard to read on a small Steam Deck screen, and a few small tweaks could improve it. But overall it's very fun. For $2.50 American (or $3.50 Canadian, which I had to pay because the game's Mountys captured my land), this is a no-brainer. The developer is honest about what it is: a janky, stupid video game that doesn't waste your time, and a fun, patriotic shooter made by a solo dev who actually likes America. As for me, I filed this one under my [i]'♾️Everplay'[/i] category. If you want to defend Old Glory from the hordes trying to tear it down, this one scratches that itch. [h1]8/10[/h1]

They go on to explain exactly what it isn’t — it wasn’t funded with your tax dollars through some shady DEI government slush fund. It wasn’t made by [u] neofeminist commies [/u] who lecture you about capitalism while charging $60 for zero gameplay. It wasn’t designed for [u] theater-kid journalists [/u] to [b] cry [/b] about representation while real gamers get nothing but 30-hour struggle sessions." ....[b] Facts over feelings. I like where this game is heading and I hope some of the bugs like the mobs jumping to the heavens and the buttons and audio just not working gets fixed. Also too much taxes are taken out. Where are my tax deductibles?

Old-school arcade-like fun with stupid political humor. Some bugs but they are being patched out quickly. Worth the 2 bucks just to play a couple rounds and have a little laugh.

if you want to shoot Mexicans, terrorists, Redditors who always larp as Socialists and ANTIFA protesters then this game is probably for you. just like the description of this game it doesn't try to claim to be a AAA game or to be perfect, its just absurd and funny. not many games or publishers are honest like this and that alone should earn your respect ESPECIALLY in this day and age

reminds me of new ground era of quality towards the game at least right now. still some bugs here and there that soft lock you during play throughs. and a lot of jank for progression. with either more unlocks or different weapons i could see this becoming real fun. but for $2.50. its an experience
