About
Taking 9th place in a Playstation 1 themed Game Jam, Retrovolver (formerly known as 'Bandit Bill') comes to Steam with much more content In this retro inspired rouge-like first person shooter, you are an outlaw in the wild west with one thing on your mind - getting that paper. Can you survive?
NOTE: The game is in a post-game jam state, meaning content will come over time with patches as the game takes form and more ideas become clear.
You will start off in a procedurally generated town. You're an Outlaw so naturally, everyones gunning for you. You have some bullets to start, but you'll need to find ammo to keep shooting.
Bullets are all projectiles with the chance to ricochet off some surfaces. As you progress to more towns and get upgrades, more bullets fly!
Fight off waves of cowboys, sheriffs, snakes and other enemies as you explore the town to rob the people of their wealth so you can make your gun shoot better.
Once you clear a town, a travelling trader will appear. You can buy upgrades, items and power ups from here.

Reviews
Who would've guessed that the game that looks like a preschooler's interpretation of a John Wayne film plays like trash? The movement is way too clunky, money is not provided after clearing an area, and there's no manual reload button. Glad to be part of history that paid $7 to get the same enjoyment as sitting on my balls.
Considering it's been made for a game jam, this is actually a pretty decent game. The other 1 current review seems overly harsh. As you progress to more towns, it gets harder and you need to upgrade more, so the game loop works for a rougelite. The bullet ricochet feature is pretty cool, it would be nice to see that progress more as a mechanic! After a few towns it gets really quite hectic, like a first person bullet hell game. It's got a few bugs but if it got smoothed out, I see the potential in this. Boss fights are kind of boring, but again, maybe if they had more reward and were more challenging and there was more bosses than 1 or 2. Overall, get it on sale, and you're getting a nice time killer.
