About

Mannequin is an up to 2v3 Hide-And-Seek VR FPS multiplayer game.
Two elite Agents hunt for Mannequins - shape-shifting aliens hiding in plain sight and blending in by posing as human statues.
They ambush unsuspecting Agents, freezing them in place with a single touch. Agents use cutting edge tech to scan for Mannequins, then shooting to kill. They must decipher friend from foe. Hit a human and their gun jams, leaving them vulnerable. Last team standing wins in this frantic game of cat and mouse.
Crisis engulfs the globe. Select sites have frozen in time, turning people into motionless statues. An alien presence is behind these anomalies. Special Agents are dispatched to eradicate this threat before they become the next victims.
Hunted by mankind, Mannequins use supernatural abilities to get the drop on Agents. Use your headset and controllers to pose and blend in among first responders. Strike when Agents least suspect, dashing forward and freezing them with a touch of a hand.
Agents are on the hunt. Their EMF Readers point them towards Mannequins, but telling friend from foe is down to instinct. Not only is ammunition limited, but shooting a human jams your gun, giving Mannequins an opportunity to strike.
Teamwork is essential. Strategize to seize energy extractors as aliens, letting you see an Agent’s location. If you’re not fast enough, Agents gain the upper hand.

In terms of bugs, for my short time playing I haven't encountered any bugs but I'm sure there are some. I think the game would greatly benefit from a play7er increase, from 2v3 to (2 hunters 3 mannequins) maybe 3v3 just so that it's an even fight. more maps obviously (I know there are some on the way) new mechanics. anyways buy it now
Game does not work with Vive wand controllers. GAME does not tell you this. STORE PAGE does not tell you this. I had to figure it out by reading several reviews. Now have a game I cannot play because it's incompatible with even the most basic hardware. If this is the kind of problem you can encounter before even playing the game, what other oversights could be waiting once you actually get the game started?
This feels like a smooth well polished gameplay loop in VR. I bought this game because I wanted a Vr game I could just jump into and play a few action packed rounds, and it doesn't disappoint. Once you get the hang of the game, it is an adrenaline pumping ride. There isn't a whole lot that changes, but the maps are well laid out, and the 3 v 2 aspect seems to be well balanced. I want to see more modes and more maps and just more in general so I am happy to support this VR developer. Good addition to my VR library.
The game is fun, but it's filled with little kids that didn't get raised right. I haven't decided if it's worth it or not.
Such a fun game. Runs at 60fps and can be a little jittery, but nothing game breaking. Could use some more optimization, as I can run far more intensive games at 120. Definitely worth picking up on sale.
if you have stickdrift do not buy yet please add a thumbstick deadzone option
this really is a fun game. its just not worth 20$. i know it just launched but the game bugs out way too badly to even play most of the time. the lack of variety and the fact that its current playerbase is all playing for free just makes it not worth the purchase unless you have 5 friends to play with.
If you're into VR games that offer stunning graphics, a great selection of maps, and solid gameplay, Mannequin might just be your next favorite. The community is welcoming, the features are well thought out, and the balancing feels spot on. It’s clear the developers have put a lot of effort into making this game shine. However, the game isn’t without its flaws. There’s a bug that prevents joining friends’ sessions, even after accepting their invitations. Hopefully, this gets patched soon. Another downside is the small player base, which can result in waiting several minutes to find a lobby. That said, if you have 2-4 friends who also own the game, setting up a private lobby is absolutely worth it. The gameplay becomes incredibly fun and engaging, making Mannequin a fantastic experience when played with friends. P.S. If you understand German and are reading this, please send me a friend request on Steam! It would be great to have more players to enjoy this game with. Let’s grow the community! Rating: ★★★★☆
its cool but i feel like it needs more of it
fun game, friendly community. recently started adding skins which are earned through leveling, gives you something to grind. sadly not many players online outside of prime time. If you're having issues on Oculus/Meta devices try switching the OpenXR runtime to Meta/Oculus
