For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Gail Pilgrim. Starship captain, war hero, ambassador for the new Galactic Union and chancellor of the Pilgrim Space Academy.
After everything that she's been through since her carefree days as a common hauler of goods and passengers, there would seem to be very little left in the universe that could possibly daunt her. That is, until the day her crew answers a distress call from Latona Research Station, which proves to be the first chapter in an unprecedented tale of counter-revolution, espionage and betrayal.
Space Pilgrim Academy: Year 1 is a sequel to the popular Space Pilgrim Saga set nine years after the events of the last episode. In this brand new space adventure, you will play as both Gail Pilgrim and Margaret Dale, the academy's newest recruit.

As Gail Pilgrim, encounter some old acquaintances, travel to new locations and begin to uncover the mystery behind the destruction of Latona station.
As Margaret Dale, attend classes at the academy: cosmography, xenobiology, engineering and more. You can choose whether to try and impress or annoy the teachers, and your performance will impact her grades at the end of the term. Just remember to keep watch for those dark forces which might seek to do her harm.
🎮 Space Pilgrim Academy: Year 1 🎮
Another solid space pilgrim story although it feels like 20% of any previous game, the other 80% is running between empty lifeless campuses with boring "classes".
RPG Maker strikes again! Space Pilgrim Academy: Year 1 is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. As often happens with this RPG Maker asset flipper/"developer", the stock fantasy RPG Maker assets have been eschewed in preference for the stock sci-fi RPG Maker assets, but the cringeworthy high school anime club dropout fan fiction remains. The developer has polluted Steam a whopping 19 times with these valueless construction kit asset flips. They're all more or less the same in terms of quality... none. This is the first in a series of the "Space Pilgrim Academy" asset flips, but basically these are all the same badly written RPG Maker asset flip drivel games with no value whatsoever for gamers. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development. Like most RPG Maker shovelware and asset flips, the game features extremely low quality copy + pasted 2D retro pixel art, looks awful, and has even worse gameplay. RPG Maker is an absolutely terrible construction kit, and never results in games of any reasonable quality or value to gamers. Space Pilgrim Academy: Year 1 didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the game, either. It has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for suffering through the first short, but painful chapter, trivial to get, but less than 24 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. Hardly a success story, gamers just weren't all that interested in the game. Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's an almost healthy spike in player counts for the game. But this only appears around the same time that trading cards were applied to the game... so this is just card idlers getting their cards and moving on. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many games like this, with no merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards. Space Pilgrim Academy: Year 1 is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. Gamers who want a good retro JRPG experience would be better off playing the originals, like Final Fantasy, Star Ocean or Chrono Trigger.
Bought the package on sale a few months ago, but didn't play this one until I saw the 2.0 update. You might be turned off initially by its 'RPGMaker-ness' (at least I was), but I was pleasantly surprised to find the writing was very enjoyable. I found that the story moves at a comfortable pace, the characters are varied enough to make things interesting and there's enough intrigue to keep your attention. Really looking forward to the next game in the series. If this was a PoC game with full voice-acting and in-depth inventory puzzles like with works by Wadjet Eye such as Technobabylon and Shardlight, this series would have a lot more attention. Buy it for the writing and forgive it for the engine.
Lovely! I recommend this game and every other game from the series. I'm excited to start my second year at the academy.
Linear gameplay with excellent storytelling , logical puzzles and a lot of humor - loved it!
Another great adventure game from Pilgrim Adventures. It shows that good writing can overcome everything including using RPG Maker.
I quite enjoyed this journey, on many levels. With the game functions helpful and controls intuitive, I could experience the adventure, dialogue and story arc, without distraction. Puzzles are not generic and felt, mostly, immersive to the style and content of the story. Achievements are easily enough attainable, so grind or replay is avoidable. This is the first of a series, so I am looking forward to more from the galactic cadets.
This is a good game in a series of this saga. I plan to play them all. Highly recommended, enjoy!
