Since the latest Fallout 4 update, the game crashes when trying to enter vault 88. Anyone with a fix?

Literally gave me a seizure with parts constantly flashing at 75 times per second between RED and GREEN, basically impossible to place any parts, requiring micron precision. There is a reason the Promo Image shows an open sided vault, because the interns who had to make the promo pictures all kept quitting after spending hours trying to place 2 parts. E.g. Parts like the "Atrium end pieces" are not actually end pieces, they are mid pieces which make snapping parts to them to make end pieces impossible, so you are left with giant holes in the walls. Far too many fully built pieces, which should be broken into minute detail. E.g There should be no corner section, but instead break it down into a corner roof, corner floor, corner corner, and corner walls.

This is a good concept but it is not very well implemented. Yes you can build your own vault if you can figure out which parts snap to which other parts, but then when you have your vault and it starts to get some settlers you will notice that they either all stay together in one place or get stuck in walls and floors. Even when they aren't clumped together they stay still and don't wander about the vault. Settler navigation has not been well thought out. The biggest problem is the lights, the lights are pathetic, a light will only light up a very small area so you have to put a LOT of lights in your vault and you will still get uneven lighting and dark patches. Your vault is going to be a dark and dingy catacombe. It could have been so much better! Oh well ... at least it wasn't expensive and the parts can be used out in the commonwealth in your other settlements.

I don't understand how this is so disliked, Vault 88 is very fun.
