Fallout 4's Nuka-World DLC is one of the most boring expansions I've ever played, legit adds nothing of value to the game, and a waste of money. Get it on sale or move on to better games..
this is the best dlc there is so much to do
The opening area is so buggy I can't get through it. Save your money.
Nuka-World was, back in the day, a big “wow” moment for me because I couldn’t even run the game properly. Now that I’ve finally played it, it ends up being a pretty mediocre but very mixed experience. The start of the DLC is genuinely very good. The Gauntlet especially stands out as a strong opening and probably the best-designed part of the whole thing. It feels tense, creative, and actually exciting. But once the DLC opens up into its “free roam / clear the parks” structure, it slowly turns into a fetch-quest style loop. It’s still enjoyable overall, but it becomes more “just okay” than anything truly great. You get some new characters, a few cool weapons, and a lot of classic Fallout humor sprinkled throughout, which definitely helps carry it. There are moments where it feels like peak Fallout atmosphere, but they are spaced out too much. One big issue for me is roleplay. My character isn’t really a bad guy, and this DLC clearly has more depth and content if you commit to that path. Without spoiling anything, it feels like a lot of the systems and narrative weight are built around a playstyle I didn’t want to follow, which limits the experience. That said, the rewards in some areas are genuinely really good, and that’s where the DLC peaks for me. After those moments, it doesn’t really reach the same level again. If Steam had a middle rating option, this would be exactly it. It’s obviously not a bad DLC, but it’s not a truly great one either. It sits right in the middle as a mixed experience. Buy it if it’s cheap.
Never have I gooned to a DlC harder than this one! 10/10

A blemish on a great game. I can understand the appeal for some people to want to go the dirty route of being a raider but did they actually have to put quests that messing with the commonwealth and your companions permanently? Outside of that, the content itself just wasnt there. All the zones where heavily lackluster outside of Galactic Zone. So much empty space with few enemies and nothing really to explore. Then the very last mission you have to play with the other gangs so they interrupt the way i like to play instead of just letting me go at my own pace.
