The exploration feels rewarding, and it's always satisfying to unlock new abilities and find places you couldn't reach before. The combat is smooth, the bosses are fun, and the overall progression keeps you wanting to see what's around the next corner. The art and music also do a great job setting the mood. The VAs are good, it feels like I am watching a show. It trigger my kleptomania to explore every nook and cranny. It was an enjoyable experience, definitely worth.
The game looks great so far, I would love to see what comes after EA!
Just played the game and loving it! I'm a Castlevania and Bloodstained fan and definitely recommends this game for all metroidvania fans. Animation's pretty solid and the environment is surprisingly good. Looking forward to the story as well. Cheers!
I've been having a great time with this game '
Fallen Tear: The Ascension
' The first thing that grabbed me was the gorgeous hand-drawn art and smooth animations, every area feels alive and full of personality, and the Metroidvania progression keeps giving me reasons to revisit previous areas as I unlock new abilities. Combat are so feel satisfying, especially once you start experimenting with different skills and companions. in terms of soundtracks and th atmosphere deserve a special mention too. For an Early Access game, there's already a lot to enjoy, and it's exciting to see the potential for what's still to come. The developers have clearly put a lot of passion into this project, and it shows in the art, world-building, and gameplay. If you're a fan of Metroidvanias, action RPGs, or beautifully crafted indie games, this is definitely worth checking out. Looking forward to seeing how the game grows with future updates!
The game is interesting. The upgrade system is deeper than expected, and the Fallen Tear difficulty feels more like a puzzle than a slog. If this is Winter Crew's first game, then they're a very promising team.
With two hours into the game, I can say that this game has been a fun one. The combat, the gameplay loop, the characters have all been so enjoyable so far, but in my opinion, this game's main charm is its hand drawn animations that give the game life. With that said, I'll go ahead and recommend this game for other people.
After playing for around two hours, I'm really impressed with this game. It immediately pulled me in with its beautiful art style and immersive atmosphere. The environments are vibrant and full of personality, making exploration genuinely enjoyable. The world feels rich with mystery, and I'm excited to uncover more of the story and meet new characters. It's clear that a lot of care and passion went into the game's presentation and design. So far, FFTA has made a great first impression, and I'm looking forward to spending many more hours exploring everything it has to offer.
I haven’t played a Metroidvania-style game in a while, but this one has really hooked me. A very nice looking game with cute and different characters. Love the colorful environment. The game is full of charm. There are very few games that have made me stop and simply look at the scenery but this game does it easily. And the fighting system is cool. Instead of just mindlessly mashing buttons you have the “Fated Bonds” system, which allows you to summon recruited allies for unique offensive buffs and abilities. A top recommendation for fans of story-driven 2D platformers.
Playing Fallen Tear: The Ascension was such a nostalgic experience. On Adventure and Normal difficulty, the game offers a relaxing yet engaging journey that lets you enjoy the exploration, story, and platforming without feeling overwhelming. I really like how Hira is introduced as the main character, immediately making me curious about the world and eager to uncover more of the game's lore as the story unfolds. The level design is also impressive, with well-crafted obstacles that make every platforming and parkour section fun, rewarding, and challenging in just the right way. I also want to give credit to the voice actors because their performances are excellent, delivering emotions that perfectly match each scene and making the characters feel more alive and memorable. Overall, Fallen Tear: The Ascension is a beautiful adventure with a captivating story, satisfying gameplay, and great presentation, and it's definitely a game I'd recommend to anyone who enjoys adventure platformers with rich lore and heartfelt storytelling.
Really good graphics and gameplay. There are also a lot of mystery going on while progressing the story and exploring which makes the game a lot more interesting.
