About
Fairtravel Battle is a fast-paced collectible card game (CCG) with a unique resource system, back-and-forth battles, and game modes for all preferences.
Play with friends or by yourself, without the need to empty your wallet buying card packs or keeping up with a meta.
In Fairtravel Battle, your resources are everything! In this essence-mana system, any card can be placed on the bottom of your deck to gain an essence of your choice among Fervor (
), Life (
), Aegis (
), and Gloom (
), leveling up your ability to play cards, while also granting you mana (
), which lets you play those cards.
The best part? Any card allows you to pick any essence of your choice, so you don't have to lose the cards that matter the most to you! And there are no essence cards, instead every card is usable as a resource!
Got enough mana but need that perfect card? You can always redraw a card by returning a card to the bottom of your deck and drawing a new card instead.
Make your magic run wild with your own custom crafted decks and find cool new ways to make cards interact together.
Battles in Fairtravel Battle aren't going to be one-sided if you play your cards right. With plenty of ways to counter your opponent and with little interruptions, battles are fast and engaging, and with the Explore mechanic, which lets you find a card among the next 5 cards in your deck, you have many more chances to find the cards you need to beat your opponent.
Bring your own decks to battle your friends or bots with up to 3 other players, or team up together and face an even bigger challenge!
Every turn you select among 5 new cards to add to your deck. You never know what you'll get!
Team up with two other champions to defeat the Chaos Keeper in this 3 vs 1 battle! Or Play as the Chaos Keeper and turn things around! Can you beat the champions?
Build a deck by picking cards among booster packs and win as many times as you can to earn fabulous loot!
Open booster packs and find the perfect cards among them to build the perfect 40-card deck and beat the competition!
Play each mode online, offline with bots, host your own local matches, or use Steam lobbies. Fairtravel Battle isn't dependent on hosted servers so it will always be playable offline or online through self hosted lobbies or Steam lobbies.
Create your own custom game modes with your own rules right within the game. Add your own new cards, cosmetics, and card sets through the mod system!
Nobody likes paying a lot of money to enjoy collectible card games or being left behind after taking a break! Fairtravel Battle features no microtransactions for card packs. Any future microtransactions will be exclusively new cosmetic DLC, all future card sets will be free!

Fairtravel Battle CCG 2!!! ^w^ Holy, what a mana system. I could absolutely talk about the great design of the mana system for an hour strait. Truly nothing but love twords this dev and their project, can not recommend it enough! Even with only one other friend owning the game to play against, there is more than enough to keep you busy and entertained either solo or in vs battles. Can't wait to see the development of this project progress ^w^
very charming and surprisingly stable EA game. The cardpool is still small, but gameplay is engaging and a lot of fun. Cards are pretty, game is simple to learn, there's a lot of variety in game modes and its really promising.

Short description: It plays like the old WoW TCG, which is already a plus in my book. The creator's determination to not have microtransactions is admirable and I enjoy the matches I've played so far. Numerous modes and ways to play give a strong foundation that I'm eager to see developed.
This game has some really good bones for a digital tcg. I think the creator really has a good idea of what they want a competitive card game to be. Its a clever mix of all the greats, (Magic, hearthstone, and yugioh) but no card is wasted and there seems to be a lot of fun and viable stategies. Keep up the good work! I love this game!
fantastic game def deserves a bigger community <3
Now that i can FINALLY review this game... Its fun! Its been a blast seeing the changes and improvements that have been a result of a lot of dedication. Lots of ways to play (even if I always go to the scummy combos (that dont *really* exist in this game)). It should set the example all digital card games should follow. Make some decks and have some fun :3
best online card game ive ever seen
Like a lot of people I left Hearthstone a long time ago after getting frustrated trying to keep up with people buying every single card the moment it releases. There hasn't been an online card game that did it for me since, but even on EA release Fairtravel Battle manages to have enough content to bring me back to that feeling from when Hearthstone first came out, while having some great modes out the gate. A lot of people are comparing it to Hearthstone/Magic the Gathering which is accurate, if you've played both games you'll know what you're doing. What I can't stress enough about this comparison is how much better the mana system is than both games. You can't have played MTG for any decent amount of time without getting mana screwed, lands are one of the worst aspects of the game to me. Hearthstone's mana system was decent but from what I remember ramp was specific to a couple of classes, maybe even just Druid when I played. Fairtravel's resource system is an improvement on both, where cards = mana/color resources and card advantage can be done with any base color's card pool so there's no such thing as being mana screwed, and the color resources never deplete. There's one colorless and a few green cards to gain a generic mana advantage and splashing is simple so you can go more traditional ramp with it as well, and when you have all the colors you need for your deck you can use it for mind games, adding colors your deck doesn't need to make your opponent have to consider what you might be working towards. The next place the game really shines is the various modes. Having draft and sealed right at the start is fantastic and I've put a lot of time into draft specifically, but the mode I really want to talk up is Explorer. In Explorer you and your opponent start with a deck full of 0 cost ramp cards and each turn you replace(?) 1 ramp card from a selection of 5 to build your deck as you go, shuffling all cards from discard and hand into library and redrawing at the end of turn. These matches often end up being chaotic, swingy and tactical all at the same time even against CPUs. I haven't even tried the 3v1 Raid mode yet but I'm sure that will be fantastic as well. Also the dev has been working on an RPG mode that I'm very excited to check out. An unexpected feature for me was the workshop right at launch. As of this review there aren't any mods made yet other than a couple made by the dev (Love the nuggies) but you're able to create your own cards, replace the artwork of existing cards, playmats, and probably other aspects I'm not aware of. As far as negatives go it currently has a low but active playerbase. Its growing, but until more people buy it this is the reality of the matchmaking. The CPUs are decent enough at least. The UI also isn't the greatest and I'd personally like it if you could swing with less of a delay when you're trying to swing a large or full board directly at face, an alpha strike button would be great for that. All of this is very minor though. Altogether its a great game so far, the solo dev is active, speaks to people in the community and updates frequently, so I have full confidence that this is worth getting right now for the content it has, and what it will be in the future.
Here are some quick pros and cons of this game in my opinion: Pros: 1. No Microtransactions You can get new cards in a good pace by playing the game only. 2. Unique and fun mana/resource system It eliminated any mana screw/flood while providing enough amount of interesting decision for you to make. 3. Multiple game modes Game modes which normally were locked behind paywall in other TCG, such as seal and draft, are included in this game without extra charge!! I played seal once, the experience was smooth and enjoyable. 4. Good card design The card pool at first seems small, but after playing a while, I could say they are well thought out with good amount of varity for deckbuilding and gameplay. No major overpower or underpower card so far. Cons: 1. Basic UI and graphic Don't expect fancy art or UI. They are functional with basic art style. I think is a pass for me. (There are actually several kinds of card style for each card, which are quite decent.) 2. Limited player base The player count up to this time is small but I hope it will grow overtime as it is such a good game. The bots are fine to play against without feeling dull. Overall, I strongly recommend this game if you like TCG or CCG!
A nice card game that's similar to most of the card games but unique enough to be it's own. I've only played the PvE and it's exactly what I have wanted in a game. I'm weird and just want to play against the computer. It has up to 4 player games. Although I want to be picky about the layout at least the option is there. For the price it's pretty good and all the cards are collectible without addition payment. Lastly it has a Workshop. I'm not sure exactly how to use it but the option is there (or will be there)
