Excellent IL-based speedrunning platformer. It gets very hard, but rides the line between challenging and fun really well. There are a lot of moving parts to each level, making it a challenge to manage cycles and routing, but for the most part, these are really well designed and it's very satisfying to hit the route you were aiming for. It's definitely a very niche game, but if you're into first person movement and challenging yourself with platforming mechanics, I can easily recommend it. It's also very affordable :D
Really fun first person IL speedrunning game. The levels get a bit crazy in the last world, and the diamond medals are really hard, but the movement is fun and going fast is extremely satisfying. If you enjoy IL speedrunning then I'd definitely recommend this! Check out https://store.steampowered.com/curator/41559946 for more recommendations!

Extricate is a bunnyhop speedrun styled game with 50 levels to get times on and improve at. The gamplay is different based on how you approach it, casually i think its far too slow and boring but building momentum via bunnyhopping and strafing is very peculiar to me as someone with 0 source engine movement experience. I think it served as a great introduction and while getting all the dev times is extremely tight and requires some serious skill to do, its quite an enjoyable experience, the earlier levels A-C are about squeezing for a faster time while D and E are about just beating the level with your momentum as the levels get SO much harder there, i think the level design suffers from a lot of claustrophobia causing you to have to shimmy your mouse a lot which hurts after a bit, but nonetheless it wasn't enough to hinder my enjoyment of the game. Graphics wise the game isn't insane or overly stylistic, it does make elements very distinct, with harmful objects being orange/red tones and everything else being distinct enough that if you're zooming around the level you'd have time to recognise them, for that i can't fault the game, the simplicity works. Music wise the songs are a mix of synthwave and electronic music which im not gonna lie sounds SO damn good, i didn't expect this game to have that but it sure did, before long though since its only around 5 tracks you get fed up of them but for the time they had, they were good tracks. Overall its a very nice introduction to the scene of bunnyhopping, while it didn't walk my hand the entire way i felt i learnt a decent bit and had my skills tested to a degree which i enjoyed a lot and can safely recommend it to anyone looking for a source style speedrunner game :)
For somebody who has no KZ experience this was very challenging but rewarding to learn 7/10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PoylIII4A7U
If youre tired off seeing royal at the top of every scoreboard in seum , this isnt the choice to get away from it all
This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing. It kinda broke my soul on the last challenges but it was worth it It has very good mechanics with responsive movement and satisfying momentum. It's got leaderboards for speedrun and everything this kind of game needs ! Definitely my proudest gaming achievement, I love this game and more people ABSOLUTELY SHOULD PLAY IT ! Plus it's got interesting levels and tight times
Quick Score: 3/5 This is the first game of this style I've ever played. Its overall pretty well made, and decently enjoyable to a point. However when going for diamond medals and speedrun times, there are many aspects of the movement and level design that I found incredibly annoying. My major issues with the game are the way fans work, the million little spinning objects and obstacles on various cycles on every single level, the way that the level cycles begin before you even start the level. The game is also incredibly repetitive and bland in terms of level design. Both mechanically and visually. I made it all the way through the D section with Diamond medals before finally just quitting on the E section because I just was not enjoying the game at all anymore. I would say give the game a shot, but don't expect anything incredible.

An amazing bunny hop game that takes everything I dislike about Source movement and improves upon it. Highly recommended.
Its ok and fun.
