Circa 790 AD. A small band of Norse warriors lands on the shores of England. History may have forgotten their names, but their actions live on. As the chieftain of your clan, let ambition guide your choices in the party-based RPG Expeditions: Viking. How will history remember you?

I enjoyed this game. Combat was thoughtful. The story was good. Do wish there was more to do like invade mercia or post game content. i give this game a 4/5
Sorta like X-Com, except the enemies are not aliens. Instead, you will being killing fellow Vikings, Brits, and Picts. I personally enjoyed killing the Brits the most.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Smooth, well balanced.

No, I cannot recommend this game, because I don't know anyone who I think would have fun playing it. I've enjoyed the challenge, but there are so many weird design choices that get in the way of having fun, it just isn't worth picking up unless you are a glutton for punishment. I could never say I had fun with the endless stream of tiny, tedious pitched battles. I suppose if I had spun the camera around 360 degrees constantly like in the trailer video, it might have been more exciting. Honestly, I just wanted to sail around in a viking ship, raid undefended towns, and steal treasure. That would have been a fun sandbox. I never cared about this game's convoluted political melodrama nor its overly opinionated, whiny companions. Why couldn't there be an option to turn the story off? "Save the clan! Save the clan!" Your clan is like 12 people. Just put them in your boat, burn down your ramshackle village of hovels, and settle somewhere else like a real viking would. Then get on with the pillaging! Not dumpster-diving through a thousand barrels to find bits of string and grease. Not having to pick herbs, camp, turn them into medicine, and treat an injured viking who was stung by a wasp during a random encounter. Not having to fire silly "puffballs" from a sling to use as smoke screens against OP archers. Not having to spend more "valuables" to make a single piece of chain mail armor than it costs to erect an entire city wall. Not getting stuck using the same tired tactics over and over because the AI is programmed to suicide itself to get a lucky shot to injure one of your fighters in the hopes he'll get a groin infection that will send you back to camp and slow the game down even more. Not having to worry that if you don't agree with your followers that an old woman with Alzheimer's can shapeshift into a crow, your superstitious followers will get low morale and won't fight as hard - but if you do, your skeptical followers will be upset and throw the next battle. WHAT!?! This game sucks all the fun out of being a rampaging berserker and replaces it with pop-up lists of resistances, morale ratings, and damage reduction scores. And Odin help you if you don't read every one of them!
Excelente game
A friendly romp around Jutland and Britain, where you can take in the sights, fraternise with the locals, spread your culture. Beware of some game breaking bugs, and be prepared to use the console to get out of these situations. I would still recommend the experience.
