Circa 790 AD. A small band of Norse warriors lands on the shores of England. History may have forgotten their names, but their actions live on. As the chieftain of your clan, let ambition guide your choices in the party-based RPG Expeditions: Viking. How will history remember you?

I got this after playing expeditions rome thinking I would be getting another decently fleshed out, fully voiced, story driven experience. Story is there, but the combat is just really not fun. This makes the early-game slog hard to deal with, and I found myself quickly not caring if the story was good. I guess you can play it on easy, but I'd rather just not play it at all.
It was decent enough until I reached a point where I was forced to win a fight with my backup team.. who were just around for camp duties and had NO GEAR. No way to get out of this either, I would have to reload a manual save I made hours ago. This awful idea completely ruined the game for me.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

What a great game - a true CRPG, great story, great systems, balance is rock solid. If you like BG1-3, NWN, Icewind Dale, and games of that ilk, give it a try and you won't be disappointed. Solid 8/10. Looking forward to trying Expeditions: Rome next!
controls are bad :( battle is bad :( exp: rome is far superior to this one
Sehr Exquisites XD Gesehen, getestet für gut befunden.
Great game. Complex enough to be entertaining, simple enough to jump in devout a couple hours and feel like you accomplished something. No excessive fluff. Most missions are unique. camping/ resources add another level of though to your movement around the map. Upgrading your home is seen when you go back and provide you resources.
Very good story, engaging combat and overall challenging enough experience. Only lacking voice acting, but that would only be a plus and in no way it diminishes the game.
After I loved so much Rome, this is a nice smelly turd. Bugfest with so many irritating things. There is somewhere a nice game, but sometimes you feel like you play against 100% scripted chance to die. There is a specific pack of wolves when I try to visit in the west a location with some pagans and these wolves have 100% chance to knock down my team and then everyone is a free snack. Whatever I have tried like going to the other side of map, blocking paths etc all wolves seem to have unlimited range and it feels scripted to lose just to say "fu.ck you and your happy time" in your face. If the random encounter was to face it in a later stage, well guess what ? It does not work. When I leave the camp the wolves are there. Just a stupid game. I hope if they release a new game after Rome to be better or at least equal of Rome.
I really wanted to like this game, but the combat never improves above the tutorial. There is a diamond in the rough somewhere but just as most CRPGs choices are an illusion
Great story and challenging battles. If you like more mature, complex stories with a slower pace, you'll like this one. Just don't try to rush it, or you'll lose some pretty interesting gems :)
