Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.

About

Expeditions: Samurai is an expansive roleplaying game set in our world during real historical events, with an intricate, branching story and a vibrant cast of characters. At every turn, you will be faced with life-or-death choices that will challenge your resolve.
Create the character you want to be and choose your own path through history. Even the smallest of your decisions can have far-reaching consequences for yourself, your crew, and - in many cases - the people of Japan.

In the year 1600, the navigator William Adams arrived in Japan. He would soon become the first European granted the title of "Samurai".
In Expeditions: Samurai, William Adams never leaves England; you will beat Adams to the punch and sail to Japan aboard the Dutch frigate De Albatros.
You arrive in Japan as the newly elected leader of a motley crew of privateers and are quickly swept up in an ongoing civil war that is nearing its climax. Navigate the politics, intrigue, and drama of feudal Japan as you and your crew catch the attention of powerful warlords whose struggle will determine the future of the nation.

Every crewmate has their own story to uncover - if you manage to earn their trust. Build your relationship with each companion into a meaningful friendship, a lifelong rivalry, or possibly even a new love.

Outnumbered but never outgunned, engage your enemies on your own terms in a fast and freeing turn-based combat system where movement, attacks, and interruptions can all play out simultaneously.
Use stealth and clever gadgets to toy with your opponents. Split up your team to position them in real-time and set up devastating ambushes. Utilize a vast array of weapons and abilities to maintain the upper hand - from mainstays of the pirate arsenal to iconic Japanese weapons.
Craft your own items and experiment with different loadouts to survive deadly and diverse enemies.

For the first time ever in an Expeditions game, experience the tense combat and deeply branching narrative of Expeditions: Samurai in drop-in/drop-out co-op. Play in single-player as your own Captain Flynn, or invite your friend and play as a pair of twins.
In co-op, talking to characters at the same time lets you wrestle for control of important decisions or compete for a companion's affections. Coordinate sneak attacks or clever combat maneuvers; throw a distracting firecracker at just the right time to let your partner sneak past a sentry, or execute a flawlessly timed double stealth takedown.

Why the early acces ? Expedtions have always been better and better the more part came out but not this one... Characters some young japanise actually looks pretty old dont ask me how but they do I miss the portrait system im gratful for the more deep character creation but seeing tycoon characters as they talking just ruin the immersion. I dont know its only me but i dont like when they call my character fynn etiher give us some voiced line names like in fallout 4 or just use some titles as always. rogoue trader, knight commander ,capitan, mistios., etc Stealth I REALLY love this new stealth idea i missed this from the previus games it feels rea;y good but.... its not easy to control 4 man to cordinate ,kill, hide body, and regroup, in real time. it would be great to have an option to turn based stealth or for slowed time mode we need way more stealth kill animation i already saw all of them there no detection range you can only guess when they will see, hear you or dead body Controll and HUD hud is just something that looks awful that charcter "card" just looks bad. inventory and items seems so simple that i dindt want waste time to check my equiment. just feelt bad look at screen same goes for skills. the basic action is bind mb2 okay not a problem but lockipking, beraking any secondory aciton is bind to shift+mb2 that dosent sound too bad but in real time it is ...why not double cliking is not a option? Runing a point b point there is nothing wrong here expect the charcters just run trough resictred areas....yeah... group selection is bind to letter g there is no option in the hud to "toggle group " like in crpgs... there is no drop body button not even internet coud help me {you have to click on the body to drop it} . Other things if somebody steps in the combat the rest the team shoud be able to keep stealth until the first kill or being discoverd. need a minimap and a compass. passing time option. Katanas shoud be used with two handed prficency If sombody shots with guns shoud alert pepole we need an option english version for japanise names they all sound the same i dont know what happend to logic artists but we need them back

While I decided to give the game the benefit of the doubt, it just doesn't live up to previous Expeditions games. The writing is quite bland and some of the voice actors do a good job, others not so much. They really leaning heavily into the let's do english with accents. Which sometimes works but other times just sound very strange. The first time Raina talks to you, it sound like she is sped up at 2x speed. I'm also assuming they want to lean on the succes or hype of the previous Englishman in Japan stories? But why not make it a fully Japanese/samurai game, some thing that actually represents the title of the game like every other Expeditions game was before this? The gamplay is simpler then Rome, but clunky. This needs some fine tuning. And the biggest complaint is the Artstyle, while menu's look nice, the open world, characters and portraits just look too cartony and a clear downgrade from Rome.
Exciting and difficult choices, complex fights, great setting, I recommend!
Love RPG? Make sure to Follow my Curator Page
The series is evolving toward classic party-based RPGs. Choices have become more meaningful, as have relationships with companions. There's less strategy, more tactics and character development. The story is extremely classic, but nonetheless engaging. The combat is top-notch. The game left a good impression. ✔️8/10
And don't forget to Subscribe to my Youtube

Join my Steam Group
That's not an "expeditions" game ... It's bad ...
Steam Deck player - works perfectly fine out of the box with full controller support, similar to Expeditions: Rome. If you already like the Expeditions series, like I do, then you're probably going to like this as well. I haven't finished the entire 8-ish hours that the EA version has to offer but my thoughts so far are: - This probably won't be as good as Expeditions: Rome, even in its final form. - I hated the art style whenever I saw it in screenshots or videos. Strangely, it didn't bother me as much when I was actually playing the game but I still feel I need the wrong direction entirely for the game to take. - I like the CRPG choices you get to make. In the first few minutes, you decide who lives and dies between two crew members. Not long after you need to get your weapons back and have to choose whether to break into the manor of the local Lord who is hosting you or raid some nearby bandits to take their gear. I dig it. - Voice acting has been fine so far. Nothing spectacular but perfectly serviceable. - I like the companions so far. Piet and Anje are standouts for me so far, and there is some internal politicking with Johan that intrigues me. - Combat is the same as Rome. I liked it in the last game and I like it here. - Writing seems good so far, aside from some Marvel-style quippy dialogue choices for your character that are terrible but you can ignore those completely. - Steam Deck controls work perfectly by default, pretty much the same layout that Rome had. Based on my experience so far, I want to finish the entire EA content.
exceptionally bugged and most of the time unplayable
