It's great. If you enjoyed parts of SnowRunner but found large parts incredibly dull then this game fixes that by taking all the fun stuff and turning that into the game. Not to knock snowrunner which is fantastic in its own right but if you want to play a similar game without most of the tedium then this is that.
I nominate this game for Labor of Love, because despite the messy launch, negative feedback and small active playerbase, the devs have worked hard on improving the game and I love to see those changes. It's a shame that Season 4 was the last new content, but I'm glad the game is now more polished. I get that it might not be for everyone, even if you like Snowrunner, however I personally would recommend.

Select the first (and only available) expedition. Fill your sideboards with possibly useful items. Get the mission to pick up quest item strict to sideboards. Have no way to clear space in it. ???????? REFUND I mean... devs... guys! It is the very first mission! In the year old game. Please pretend to give a heck.
Was expecting more coming from Snow Runner. This is just a dumbed down version of Snow Runner with less to truly explore. Snow runner was amazing and was hoping for more of that but with new things. This is not that. Expectations were high but are now shattered.

I haven't played much of the previous games in this series so I can't speak much to how much they have changed from the previous games. However, I find the setting and content more compelling than that of Snowrunner and I am having a lot of fun with the game. I got it on sale for ~$20 and I think for that price, this game is excellent.

Почему этот обзор написан сквозь слезы: Оптимизация уровня «А так сойдет»: Мой ПК может вычислять траектории полета на Марс, но в Expeditions он спотыкается о каждый куст. Постоянные микро-фризы и статтеры превращают езду в какое-то покадровое слайд-шоу для избранных. Supreme-разочарование: Я купил самое дорогое издание, думая, что получу максимум контента, а получил максимум головной боли. Жутко пресно, пусто и тоскливо. YouTube-марафон: Я теперь знаю все гайды по оптимизации наизусть. Я менял TAA на MSAA, крутил Fast Sync, танцевал с бубном в настройках NVIDIA — игра плевала на мои усилия так же, как разработчики на оптимизацию. Итог: Если вы фанат серии — бегите. Если у вас мощный ПК — бегите еще быстрее. Разработчики умудрились сделать игру, которая лагает на железе будущего, оставаясь при этом скучной, как очередь в поликлинику. Деньги на ветер, Supreme-статтеры в подарок. Возвращаюсь в RoadCraft и SnowRunner, там хотя бы физика и плавность не считаются платным DLC.
Fun. Missions are mostly focused on exploration, which can feel a lot like get from A to B type missions after a while, so know that is what you are getting into. In the early game I found a large incentive to stray from the optimal path for the sake of collecting upgrades scattered around each map sector, and often found myself loading into freeroam to seek out additional upgrades. Difficulty of each mission is heavily dependent on coming prepared with well-equipped trucks, which contributes further to the incentive to explore for upgrades. Most missions can be completed with the Scout class of vehicle, which from what I understand, is vastly different from SnowRunner. If you like offroading and exploring, its worth buying at full price If you LOVE SnowRunner and are looking for a similar experience, buy it on sale
