Reviews
A game that didn't deserved the hate received at launch, I'm lovin' it, GREAT entry title for a beginner of the mudrunner series. It focus on smaller vehicles and exploration, but at the core is MudRunner: challenging, slow and very enjoyable!
Cool.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

pretty deadly
I was very curious about this game. I saw the reviews, and still decided to give it an opportunity... And I regret it. It asks from things that are not explained and are not intuitive at all... How to pick up the antenna right after the tutorial, how to get a metal detector once you manage to get through the first mission... It's a constant struggle that makes you look up on the internet over and over again..and that's not fun at all, it breaks the rhythm of the game and becomes a tedious thing. So I hope they can fix that, because it's definitely bad.
Let me start by saying I love Snowrunner and have nearly 900 hours logged in the game. This is nothing compared to Snowrunner. Expeditions has a hard to follow tutorial, uninteresting game play, and a pointless premise. Granted I played for only an hour and a half, but I wanted to stay within the refund window. Also, I bought it on sale. Still not good enough.
trés bon jeux
There are genuinely so many one-liner-reviews I can give for this game. "Welcome to the land of unbreakable branches" "The first game to simulate if your car was magnetically attracted to every tree trunk in the world" "Truck Stranding" "Everything's great until your wheels suddenly decide to explode" "Diff Lock snapped my truck in half" "An impressive simulator of what would happen if all of Arizona was ice instead of dirt" All in all, it's a really fun game that plays very well on a controller. I honestly got tired of using my sim setup for it just because of the amount of shifting into low gear and reverse. Almost as exhausting as off-roading in real life, at that rate. I do think that if you're coming explicitly from Snowrunner, you need to expect some differences. First of all, the mission structure is far different. You have to pre-emptively deploy trucks to an area for a mission, you don't get to retain/swap in your garage as need be. But because of this, scouting ahead, plotting a route, placing anchor points and bridges (more on that in a second), matter far more in this game and can make proper planning really pay off. Expect missions in this game to take a DAMN long time. Even some of the earlier missions are 1+ hours each, and that's even if you think you're taking a relatively efficient route. I also genuinely feel this game is harder than Snowrunner, and that's likely because there's basically NO roads or highways to work off on. Looping back to the route-planning point, in this game, it both somehow matters more and matters less. Most of the vehicles are meant to handle "worse than Snowrunner" conditions in many cases, and with control over tire pressure and such, you're likely going to be able to improvise any time you need to. But at the same time, you need to 100% understand the limitations of your vehicles and plan accordingly. Use a scout truck to plant anchors up a hill climb so your seismic truck can make it up the plateau. Drive your fuel truck out into the map ahead of time so you're prepared to refuel halfway through. Play freeroam for a few hours to build out some bridges on the map or learn the best routes through the fords. Maybe bring a scouting drone or a cargo drone, even if you're not sure they're necessary, in case you see an opportune moment. You get four trucks in a mission, and you'll find you start taking all of them. And for the love of god, load up your side racks. The game doesn't explain it well how to, but look for a "fill slots" button in the garage, and I can promise you, when you think you've taken enough fuel, toss in one more fuel can. I think my only gripe with this game is that the physics are.... not quite where they need to be. The Arizona map might as well be an ice rink, the twin-steer on the TUZ 93 Kelpie is every drift-bros wet dream, tree branches are ACTUALLY unstoppable, and "I swear to god that wasn't even a flat surface why is my diff lock about to snap". But a couple quirks aside, it DOES feel good and it DOES feel fun to explore in, once you get the hang of some of the quirks. I recommend playing this game on a controller, because of all of this. A sim wheel will ultimately just tire you out, and the controls for playing in first person just... aren't there. I had a moment where this game clicked, when I realized I shouldn't play it like Snowrunner and instead I should keep a full 4-squad of cars to tackle the missions. Planning ahead, placing anchors, leapfrogging fuel back and forth, that's what made this game finally stick for me. It might have "A Mudrunner Game" in its title, but this is one that stands up on it's own design, and does a good job of it. If anything, pick it up to show support for Saber and let them know that the Season 17 PTS that incorporates some of Expeditions into Snowrunner is a step in the right direction. EDIT: ONE THING I FORGOT TO MENTION. The Vehicle and Upgrade prices in this game are absolutely insane for such a low payout from missions. Later on, a full hour mission will give you basically enough for a single upgrade. That's not great. No one's gonna judge you if you enable the "Buy Truck to Give $1M", buy twenty of them, and then disable the mod. Just sayin'.
