Shame. Another result of expectations vs reality.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Expeditions: A MudRunner Game – Off-Road Exploration at Its Finest Rating: 8.5/10 Expeditions: A MudRunner Game takes the slow, methodical, and deeply satisfying driving mechanics that fans love and steers them in a fresh, exploration-focused direction. Instead of just hauling cargo through mud and mayhem, you’re now venturing into untamed wilderness to explore, discover, and conquer nature’s toughest terrain. Gameplay – 8.5/10 Where MudRunner and SnowRunner focused heavily on delivery missions and logistics, Expeditions brings in a sense of scientific discovery and survival. You’ll still be navigating treacherous terrain and managing your vehicle's every movement, but now you’ll also be using tools like drones, winches, sensors, and seismic equipment to explore the unknown. This added layer of purpose makes each journey feel more rewarding and dynamic, especially for players who enjoy careful planning and technical driving. Environment & Atmosphere – 9/10 The environments are beautiful, rugged, and impressively diverse—deserts, forests, rocky hillsides, and more. Each area feels alive with hazards and secrets, encouraging exploration at your own pace. The terrain isn't just a backdrop; it's the main character, and conquering it feels genuinely rewarding. Vehicles & Tools – 8/10 The selection of off-road vehicles is excellent, and the tools you can equip give you real flexibility in how you approach obstacles. Upgrades and loadouts add a light RPG element, letting you customize for specific missions or challenges. The physics system remains top-notch—mud, rock, and slope all matter. Pacing & Progression – 8/10 This is a game for players who enjoy the journey, not just the destination. If you’re looking for fast action, look elsewhere—but if you love overcoming natural challenges one inch at a time, Expeditions is incredibly rewarding. The mission structure encourages experimentation and methodical thinking, which is the real heart of the experience. Verdict: Expeditions: A MudRunner Game is a thoughtful evolution of the series, shifting the focus from cargo delivery to pure exploration without losing the satisfying, mud-slinging core. It’s a slower, more strategic experience—but one that rewards patience, planning, and a love of the outdoors. Score: 8.5/10 – A rugged, rewarding journey for off-road adventurers and explorers.
I want to like this game. I really do. There are a couple fun missions here and there, but it will very, very quickly turn into another one of those games that you hate playing. The amount of fun missions is WAY overshadowed by the amount of missions that literally make you want to throw your PC out your window. I really feel like they took everything that made the MudRunner games fun until this point, spat on it, and then threw up this. It physically hurts to play. WASD will give you RA real fast here. You probably should stay away from this one. The only thing they did good in this game that is somewhat enjoyable is Spider-Man wrenching onto things, and that is even annoying sometimes because it will grab things behind you and start pulling you in the wrong direction. Not to mention all the annoying things that come of wenching. It really is a pain. But boy, is it a pretty game. If you can overlook everything, then this game is for you. Also, side note. All the missions are pretty much the same. Tow a car from A to B or drive to point A and place something there. You forgot to get that something, or the mission didn't tell you you needed it. WELL SOL for you. Do everything all over again. Even the flying of your vehicle to your other vehicle is very, very poorly optimized and buggy as ♥♥♥♥! Your camera will get stuck under your car, in trees, on the other side of walls, heck, even underground, and there is nothing you can do about it. You spam left click 1000s of times till it randomly places. Unfortunately that random place it dropped caused your entire car to flip over and take 300 damage to your suspension, engine, and tires... well, rip, time to start the entire mission all over again because they don't know where to place your camera... FROM A HELICOPTER!!!!!!! It's insane, the neglect and incompetence of the devs... Where the ♥♥♥♥ do you put a camera when you are trying to place a car from a helicopter??? Not underground or in a wall... How about OVERHEAD, you morons!!!! ♥♥♥♥ this game. It's pure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I really wish these devs would go back and fix this mess, but they are too busy thinking of what NEW microtransactions they can add to this ♥♥♥♥ game to get your money. this game makes me want to never play another mudrunner game again. and dont get me started about the DLCs....
Despite its flaws, I think this is one of if not the best MudRunner game. It's unfortunately abandoned at this point, but I get a sense of joy and exploration from this similar to how I felt when I played Spintires the first time. Expeditions is goated! Also, it runs pretty well. If you've ever asked yourself what Spintires would be like if it was a roguelite, this is it, minus the cool artstyle. The art in this game IS really good, especially the environments, but I still miss the oppressive grit of the OG games, that feeling of driving through and abandoned civilization. Anyway, great game. If you can pick it up on sale, I don't think you'll regret it if you know what you're buying.
Overall went into this game thinking that it cant be TOO bad given the mixed reviews. But after playing for just 30 minutes, I can say these things. Now, Big fan of Snowrunner, but it feels like Saber is trying too hard in the wrong areas with these new games. Ultimately, the controls feel sloppy and unresponsive, the mechanism for the "drone" aspect leaves much to be desired, as the drone will continue flying after input has stopped well before. The steering on these cars feels as though I have to go a mile before I actually see the vehicle turning. It feels like the smallest rock will take a winch plus 4x4 to go over, which is a massive inconvenience. On the positive side, the environments look great, the reflections and details are on point, and the visuals of the vehicle actually using its suspension system looks stunning. And I will say, the tire inflation system is a great addition. However, if you're going into this game expecting a Snowrunner-like experience, this game isn't for you. Maybe if the controls are fixed and the inputs are tightened up, it might have potential.
For me it´s a beautiful game. It takes the fun part from Snowrunner, the offroad driving, and makes it the main part. Sure, missions can be a little bit dull and boring, but it is so relaxing driving offroad through the beautiful landscape. After many updates the game runs very well and most of the bugs are gone. I hope for a second season!
---- [Copilotによる英訳] Exploration in this game really shines when using scout vehicles. Driving across the exposed rock faults and fractured surfaces of Kanab Creek felt fresh and exciting, while racing through the grasslands of the Carpathian Mountains was downright exhilarating. ### What I liked - **Winch improvements**: Compared to *SnowRunner*, the winch system is more versatile. Being able to extend the rope, use anchors, and even deploy jack-screws gave me ways to recover from a rollover without relying on other vehicles. - **New tools**: The addition of aerial drones, land drones, and underwater sounding devices (with permanent display options for Hydrologist members) added a real sense of novelty. - **Helicopter support**: I loved being able to send vehicles from the base to wherever other vehicles were stationed on the ground. - **Radar functionality**: Having radar available was a welcome feature. - **Map variety**: The contrast between the rugged Grand Canyon and the green landscapes of the Carpathian Mountains made the world feel diverse and engaging. ### Hopes for the next installment - **Unified controls**: The winch and first-person view controls differ from *SnowRunner*, and I often found myself making mistakes. It would be great if the control schemes were more consistent across titles. (That said, I appreciated that accelerator controls were kept the same.) - **Vehicle variety**: Each expedition was limited to four vehicles, which meant I stuck to the ones I was most comfortable with. I’d love to see more freedom to choose from a wider range of vehicles, similar to *SnowRunner*.
