Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.29/day in the week to Aug 12 → 4.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is a 'soft' non-recommendation, and one that kind of hurts me to write, because I can see promise - unfortunately, promise does not a finished game make. Perhaps this game would be better off as an early-access game; it would be great to see some updated focused on improving the polish and adding some more features to fill the idle time. As an animal lover this game both brings me joy and brings me pain. I do not particularly feel great about encouraging certain exotic species be bred and raised as pets - the wild cats, for example, and unethical morphs like the spider ball python - though to the devs defence you don't *have* to engage with these features if you don't want to (though an achievement is locked behind breeding ball pythons for hours). I am not a fan of the enclosures, even as temporary housing for the animals you sell they are small and barren and the enclosures you can sell are not much better. That said I like the gameplay loop, with high level staff the store basically runs itself beside you ordering the stock, and there is enough option for customisation to keep you busy. There are lots of options for animals to upgrade and you can do it in any order you want which is nice. However customisation is painfully limited to a point and it is unfortunate to see AI- generated designs in the interior decor. The style of the game could be vastly improved with more decorations for sure however I would like to see this coming from human artists and not AI. The game would also benefit from a wider variety of stock to add some more freedom to customise and specialise your store if you want to.

This game is far more difficult than it needs to be, and unfortunately I didn’t even make it past the tutorial before giving up. The building and construction system is overly complicated, and the controls feel unintuitive. It would be much more enjoyable if the game simply expanded automatically and allowed you to place or move items while inside the store, rather than relying on a restrictive bird’s‑eye view. I usually give games a fair chance, but this one was honestly a disappointment. The learning curve is unnecessarily steep, the mechanics aren’t user‑friendly, and the overall experience just isn’t enjoyable. At this stage, I do not recommend it. Save your money.
This game has a lot going for it while simultaneously leaving a lot to be desired. It scratches that itch in me to consider starting my own pet store venture capitalist dreams without the overhead costs, algae and smell of cedar woodchips. But my main complaints seem to be tied up in what could be referred to the developer(s) swimming halfway to an island, getting tired and swimming back to shore. Things feel a little undercooked in some areas, while overcomplicated in others, which is a strange dichotomy to have for a game. I recommend it if you like management games and animals (which I do), but consider the following if it matters to you at all. My main complaints are as follows. Using AI images for wall decals when plenty of free and creative common animal images exist on places like Pixabay, Pexels, Vecteezy, etc is a choice I guess. Kinda crazy we couldn't just search creative commons animal clipart images lol. The workers are broken some of the time. If you complete a task they're about to do right before they do it, their programming get's caught up and they stand there stuck. The only way to reset them is to change what job they do at the computer. You can also assign workers to prioritize restocking animals in the computer. They don't do this at all. Also what does water consumption mean in their stat list?? Glad we got rid of animals phobias at least so I didn't have to worry about what animals are in the store and which clerk will run away screaming from them. I almost immediately purchase a cashier on all my playthroughs because you can hire them cheap and never have to change them to another job, so I don't know if this is still a thing but what's the point of having a shopper ask for a product you don't have only so you can "suggest a different product"? Seems like extra programming to me, why not just draw from currently available product? Breeding is over complicated and in some cases not working yet. You have to wait for the animal to grow up 100%, then have to wait until their breeding is 100%, while their EXP also needs to be at 100%? What's the point? And sometimes EXP goes down and you can't get it to come back up? To make it frustrating? Also the recent update introduces a bunch more animals, but some of the existing animals present beforehand still aren't able to breed properly and still aren't working yet? Instead of purchasing more assets to put in the game, we should be working on fixing what already exists imo. Cats/dogs have been in the game the whole time I believe and breeding/storing them in their kennels is still wonky/weird. Lights are cool but I feel like if we can customize the sign with emissive lighting we should be able to do the same with the lights we put in the store. Would be cool to have that option where the light colors can be changed. I'd love to see my rows of fish tanks illuminated with nice blue and purple lighting. Would also be nice if it wasn't 1 light switch per light. If we could do 2 or 3 in a nearby area that would be great. My recommendations moving forward: You should be prioritizing ensuring that existing systems work and are deployable to new additions to the game. You're skipping steps with your breeding programming and it seems strange that some animals can breed while others can't, when there should be a standard breeding functionality that's deployable for all animals released after the initial release, especially considering that breeding methods appear to be the same for all animals. Male + female animal together + 100% growth and 100% breeding = creates offspring at random quantity, offspring take x amount of days to grow out of baby state, once out baby state, needs to be put in own enclosure, can then be sold. This should have been something worked out with the initial release of the game or figured out by update #1/2, we're on content update #4. The same could be said for the worker AI. We should not be on content update #4 and adding animals and decor when basic programming that should have been completed by the 1.0 release still isn't working properly. Some of what I mentioned is bug fixing and quality of life, and of course just what I'd like to see in the game, but please don't let it be understated that I do appreciate what you've done here, the game is fun and really appeals to me so I'll be certain to put a lot more hours into it. I'd love to see more reptile/insect love with the variety of species available there but those assets are also hard to come by. Good luck guys!
This would be an absolute no brainer favorite game of all time, if they just dropped the generative AI slop from the decor. The game is beautiful!!! We don’t need the wall art I promise, we are better off without the AI. Having said that, this is exactly what I want in a pet shop simulator. The build mechanics are a bit clunky, most furniture cannot be moved, only placed and deleted, but serviceable. The staff system works well, the breeding mechanics are fun, and the satisfaction from growing my store in this game is boundless. I also can appreciate the steady stream of updates along with frequent feedback from developers on bugs and issues. This game is smoothing its edges and really coming together beautifully, I only wish they would drop all of the gen AI and just let the human work shine.
I tried so hard to like this game, but it simply did not click. I looked past the clunky controls, I looked past how ugly our store is and how some of the ugliness just cannot be fixed - I tried very hard. The idea of a pet shop simulator was so exciting to me, but it simply did not live up to what I hoped. Even with all of its flaws, I was still willing to play the game and progress, because I really wanted to. However, the bugs are an issue. I finally had enough when my tool wheel simply refused to open. Even after re-opening my save, closing and re-opening the entire game, starting a new day. It would not work for some reason. If I cannot access any of my tools, then the game is genuinely unplayable. I cannot feed any of my fish or clean the tanks??? That's literally all I can do besides restock, since I have an employee managing the cash register, and I can't even do that. I tend to leave more positive reviews than negative reviews, and I try to give games the benefit of the doubt, but I genuinely cannot even play this. Unfortunately, I have to refund. I had intended on pushing through all of the clunkiness, but I can't even do the tasks I need to.
This is amazing i love that u can breed animals and have animals as pets but what i hate about it is that u cant name the animals even the pets but eather then that is amazing
It's really a bad game. After tiring myself and buying all the animals, and spending hours in the game just to set up the plan I was waiting for, I even finished it yesterday. Now, when I enter, instead of seeing the word 'Load Save,' I find 'New Game.' Where is my save after all this effort? The game hasn't saved anything since I started playing, and I've spent 42 hours in it. That's a lot when I like a game. But in the end, what happened? I didn't read the comments before downloading it. I hope the game fixes this problem now; it's unfair.
no controller support and clunky control design
