This game is phenomenal, ignoring my hours on here I have well over 100 on the real life tabletop version, and this is easily my favorite boardgame of all time. It came out when I was in elementary school in about 2014 I think and I have been playing it for over a decade. Now I am 21 and still enjoy in fact even more, it drew me it with cool creatures and art as a kid who adored video games like pokemon and dragon quest as well as science. I got this game for my tenth birthday and following birthdays netted me the expansions. This game has aged phenomenally with loving devs and an amazing community. Truly enjoyable as a child or beginner but veteran strategists will enjoy as well with tons of planning and options. This port is phenomenal and has a huge campaign, challenges and online player base as well as challenging friends is super fun and easy. Tons of ways to play and customize your experience. Truly a joy I do not have words. For six bucks on sale absolutely worht picking up zero questions. Zero flaws or bugs I have experienced and to this day after playing over 100 board games and being in board game club all throughout highschool and meeting for weekly game nights with friends as an adult this is by far my all time favorite, pick it up and you will thank me.
Evolution is a great board game. This is a great rendition of it.
This is a faithful representation of how the board game works. There are a few differences from what I've seen. Adding Flight to a creature in the board game allows you to select carnivore or other, for example, and the game doesn't allow that. There are a few other minor differences in how the cards are played in this game vs the board game. Its a good bit of fun, though.
Interesting, chalanging, every game is different

This game is TRASH in it's digital form. You can tell if you're going to lose within the first 2 or 3 turns. The AI magically gets whatever cards they need to beat whatever strat you come up with. You can win, but it's maybe one out of 3 to 5 matches, most of the time you dont get any cards that work together or the AI gets exactly what they need to counter you. When the AI becomes a meat eater, all AI players will attack you vs other AI, the only way to stop them is to make all your animals not be able to be attacked, which usually isnt possible. Haven't played the expansions much and I know they make the game more balanced, but unless they change the AI then it's not even worth trying.
It's peak. The board game is peak, the expansions are peak, the promos are peak. I hope Oceans gets a similar digital port someday.
Evolution can be a fun game if you have a plan in mind, but a pain for the inexperienced. As long as you keep your wits and tread carefully, you should be able to complete the campaign without much challenge. Would recommend this game, but only if you know what you're doing
Really cool game, very charming arts, lots of fun. .
