Seems like a very fun game but it's way too buggy to enjoy. Seems like it was designed for mobile and might be a bad port as selecting cards is really finicky. It's easy to do the wrong action because of the selection issue and have your turn messed up. Cards get frozen on the screen randomly. Outside of that, it doesn't really explain there is a default attack and forage, so I kept thinking I got horrible hands that were unplayable because none showed forage or attack until AFTER I tried playing it. Pretty bad design. Really disappointing digital for such a well done board game. I'd recommend the actual board game in a heartbeat, but even as an entirely FREE digital game, I won't be playing this anymore than the 30 or so mins I spent giving it a try. I might try it again if there is an update to fix the selection area and whatnot, but until then, it's unplayable.

This game is lovely! I was already considering to buy the physical version and am happy to be able to test it out first. But! there is a small pay wall that I didn't know about when downloading this game. And there is a problem with the zoomed in cards. For example: In the discard phase, cards can get zoomed in instead of selected. And it is difficult to zoom out. I tend to see it more as a demo or as a game that still needs some tweaking.
Bought the microtransaction because I loved the Evolution board games, but I have to say, the game is quite buggy and the AI is not as smart as I hope it can. I hope the designer would make a dedicated solitaire mode (that doesn't need AI opponents), because right now, the AI is not good enough. Also, consider allow one PvE game to have 3 different opponents. While I play (1 hour in), I also encounter a crash, which seem to caused by a Deep Trait.
We need chinese !
Before I played Oceans, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
Yes but... I recommend holding off on the in-game paid content for the moment. This game is great, very good strategic decisions to make, an engine builder with what feels like elements of a card battler. The AI is strong enough to give you a challenge, but unfortunately from time to time it crashes in the middle of a match. The AI locks up when thinking, the game becomes unresponsive and crashes. Which is terrible when you've got a a winning gameplay loop on the go. The game does allow you to pick up where you left off against the AI but it will likely last a few extra turns and crash again. North Star, please fix this.

Doesn't work, No support.
"Oceans" is misleadingly published here as "free", but it's not, it's just a demo/subset of the game that you have to pay cash money through the in game cash shop of this mobile app to unlock everything. As usual, nasty mobile predatory pricing, unethical misleading behaviour... well, these are mobile devs, we should expect no less. Anyway this mobile app is a cash grab, it's a poorly done conversion of a board/card game called Ocean, only worse because it's designed for iPhones. Ugh. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs to pretend they're mobile phones or Commodore 64s. On pricing and value for gamers, this isn't really free as the game is infested with mobile app store like microtransactions required to unlock the full game. This is a consumer hostile model that we don't need to see on PC. It's deceptively priced to gouge gamers, and that's a reason in itself to avoid this. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 13 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
