Abolutely amazing game, takes me back to the Freelancer days.
Outstanding combat-focused 6DOF Spaceship Action-RPG with light Space Sim trappings. Don't go into this expecting Elite or Star Citizen, it more closely resembles a cross of Freelancer, Decent and Diablo. Good meaty game, fun itemization and outstanding combat. The narrative and cutscenes are competent, unobtrusive but certainly not the game's strong point, but overall the story works well as the framework for the game. It also has a variety of more ARPG-style repeatable combat encounters with lightly procedural elements. As mentioned the draw is the combat - it's incredibly frenetic compared to traditional space sims and very much allows you to make heavy use of inertia to pull of some incredible maneuvers. Out of all the games I've played it's the closest to bringing the feeling of the Viper fights from the Battlestar Galactica remake. Each ship type is basically a class, with a unique perk and ultimate ability. "Devices" are a variety of cooldown-based abilities which compliment your traditional energy and ammunition based primary and secondary weapons. I recommend it for anyone who likes blasting ♥♥♥♥ with spaceships, it's kind of best-in-show for that.
开着飞机在洞里穿梭实在是太噩梦了,实际上就是育碧沙盒rpg那一套甚至还没有问号引导,丢进图里全让你自己找,这个模式真不如做成机甲游戏,六向绕两圈根本不知道自己在哪里
The 'Checkpoint your dead' save system plus the continually regenerating pirates everywhere you go makes it a no from me. Shame because with a saner number of pirates could have been a good game.
Pros: + animated comic-like cutscenes + fully voiced dialogues + looting and gear variety + easy to play (arcade space combat) + nice endgame (self-contained) Cons: - average space story - grindy map completion and repeatable puzzles - space travel takes a long time (less later fast travel unlocks) - fps drops
the game turns into dull puzzle solving for the second half of the game.
I love this game! Having unlocked every ship in Elite Dangerous this game was a breath of fresh air as far as space ship combat goes. Best way to sum it up is a much simple Elite Dangerous but with far more customization and actual missions to do. The combat reminds me a lot of Star Wars Rogue Squadron but with more movement options and fast paced combat. I have played tons of flight sims and arcade flying games with this game is one of my favorites for sure! The story is decent but the combat really sells this game, it is SO fun! The sound effects, variety of ship perks, weapons, and cosmetics make it a blast. If you want a fun space kind of game where you can just hop in and play for an hour or two blasting ships away this is the perfect game for you.
Absolutely superb. It's Freelancer meets Oblivion, a genuine space shooter RPG. Loved zooming around the cosmos to banging music, shooting ♥♥♥♥ up, and solving neat puzzles with my ship. Great loot, progress, story - everything was excellent.
Chorus made me get into space games and I was really hoping this one would live up to the hype.. But navigating these missions and trying to find "parts" or "objectives" or whatever is so unintuitive. The flying feels great, combat is cool, but everything else is painful. Really disappointed.
Man, I loved the first game, but this one just feels bad. It's really pretty and shooting feels really good, but everything else is just not it. They added levels, but didn't make them interesting in any way. You can select a talent every 5 levels, but 90% of the time there's only one good option, and the rest are trash. Ship upgrades are gone and instead you farm modules with different-color rarities from some pirates like it's a gacha-game. And with all of this they somehow ruined the weapon variety - on higher difficulties only pulse laser, autocannon and flak are viable, everything else is just not good. Even ships got worse - their visuals are now randomised. You have cockpit, wings, and tail modules for every ship; every ship class uses unique wings, and every ship size (small, medium, large) shares cabins and tails. That sounds cool in theory, but in reality the parts rarely look well together and you can't swap them out unless you found them as loot in the world. First game just did it better, I dunno. At least ship classes are nice - there's plenty of variety. I get that this game tries to be a Borderlands, but man, Borderlands just had more things going on. At least it had good builds and legendary equipment with crazy perks. Also something that a lot of people talk about is that traveling from point A to point B in faster-than-light (where nothing happens) takes a lot of time. I wish they'd taken a different approach with progression in this game. Leave ship designs and upgrades more like EV1, add a talent tree that gives you a skill point every level (that's if you keep levels at all, I really don't get why they did that) and buff 70% of the guns into viability
