About
Explore the seemingly infinite expanse of eerily familiar levels in backrooms based on the popular creepypasta lore. Each level features different ways to escape with dangers along the way.

Realistic graphics, minimal user interfaces, and dreary ambience combine for an atmospheric horror experience that's terrified millions of players on Steam.

Explore the backrooms with a team of up to 4 players. Good luck: teammates may no-clip into other areas of the map and every member of your team must reach the exit alive to escape. No wanderer left behind.

Traverse 30+ unique levels based on backrooms lore. Don't wander far from your team, as you can easily get lost in the confusing expanse of the backrooms.

Check every corner for the many hostile entities lurking inside the backrooms. Each has their own mechanics. Learn quickly if you want to survive the horror.
Communicate with your teammates with proximity voice chat. Entities can also hear you, so stay quiet whenever you're near danger.

The Best Game For BacKrooms Story
Really fun with friends though it can be hella frustrating sometimes and the game still has tons of bugs like the walkie talkie not working for example if the bugs get fixed as quickly as possible the game would be a lot more enjoyable but its a good laugh for a few hours
I really wanted to like this game, but after spending a decent amount of time with it, I just can't recommend it. It's fun when you first jump in with friends, but the longer you play, the more its problems start to show. The biggest issue is how repetitive everything becomes. Many levels follow the same formula and the entities don't do enough to keep encounters interesting. Instead of introducing fresh mechanics, the game constantly reuses ideas, assets and monsters no matter of the level making its amount of content feel more like quantity over quality. The entity AI is another weak point. Entities often get stuck, lose track of players for no reason, attacking through the walls or become predictable after only a few encounters. Rather than making the game tense, they often make it feel unfinished. The game also mistakes frustration for difficulty. I like challenging games, but ETB isn't hard because it requires skill it's hard because you're constantly fighting bugs, awkward movement, unclear objectives, and inconsistent mechanics. Too many levels leave you wondering whether you're missing something or if the game simply isn't working. On top of that, a lot of the puzzles feel random or poorly designed, slowing the game down instead of making it more enjoyable. Movement and animations also feel rough. Compared to other co-op Backrooms games, the controls feel stiff and unpolished, making the whole experience seem much cheaper than it should. One thing that stood out immediately was how similar the opening levels are to Backrooms: Escape Together. The progression, mechanics, and overall structure feel extremely familiar, making it difficult not to compare the two. Unfortunately, ETB ends up feeling like the less polished version. Overall, ETB has plenty of content, but much of it lacks the polish needed to stay engaging. If you just want to mess around with friends, you'll probably still have fun. But if you're looking for the better Backrooms experience, I'd recommend Backrooms: Escape Together instead. It has fewer levels, but they're better optimized, more unique, and far more enjoyable. I'd rather have fewer great levels than dozens of repetitive ones.
