One fine day, Eryi went to eat the melon that she had been SO looking forward to... but it was nowhere to be found! Then she noticed a note on the table. She picked it up and read: "Your melon looked delicious, so I took it. From Farta X" Fuming with rage, Eryi set out from her house to get her melon back from Farta.

Great game to relax your mind for real
This made me want to die in real life
내가.. 이걸... 깼다고..?
Cat Mario ripoff, but with anime Coudn't beat stage 1. Has no nudity when Eryi got stripped 0/10
It's a really fun little Syobon Action-styled, trial-and-error platformer that can be completed in around 4 hours. It has a cutesy art design all around, the controls are simple and responsive, the story is simple but charming enough and it's just really rounded-out overall. Definitely worth your buck, especially on sale. There's a New Game Plus mode if you collect all of the hidden jewels, but all it adds is that it has a genuinely finite amount of lives and the game is supposedly a little harder.
I know that the reviews told me it is a Syobon Action (informally known as Cat Mario) experience, from the same devs even. But I expected a little more Kaizo Mario sprinkled in, especially since I thought stage 7 had two mandatory and one optional equivalents of midair shell jumps in kaizo, which was great, until I realized that by jumping off a thrown bird I had bypassed a puzzle everytime. So definetly not kaizo hard, though if you're running a marathon speedrun, you could opt in to bypass a bunch of sections by doing tricks like that for style points. (Midair bird jumps, grabbing a block lying on the spikes as you're jumping off it, etc. Some optional tech that wasn't even put in as a necessity into a brutal optional standalone bonus level) It has a pretty tough EX Mode though, I beat it and it is very fun, though unlike kaizo, the difficulty comes from limited continues rather than brutally hard sections. But some levels get a little altered to prevent the use of easier tactics, but doesn't ask of you to do the obscure tech. And the bosses get extra behaviour added in to make them harder, the last bosses in EX mode are incredibly fun, even if you'd have to send a good thirty minutes playing the game over again if you die to them too much. Wait, there is a no death EX Mode achievement? NOPE NOPE NOPE!

Eryi's action is a platformer akin to the likes of i wanna be the guy and cat mario. The gameplay is entirely based around traps and trolls, they're quite amusing and are used very cleverly to catch the player out every step of the way, it also follows some traditions from kaizo hacks with it killing the player after touching the goal, requiring some extra puzzle styled elements to figure out how to survive, i'd be lying if i said they were dumb, they're put together with clear thought and the game tries to nudge the player in the right direction as much as possible. The game also has bosses which act more as gimmicky minigames again with their trolly nature, although the final boss switches entirely to a shoot em up style fight, which i personally really enjoyed but could be jarring for others. Post game completion there's an EX mode which adds a few new traps and a secret final boss, but worst of all you only have 30 lives to beat the game with, raising the stakes and making for a fun tense experience. The deathless achievement was pretty fun to go for too, even if the game is mostly memory the execution on it was just right to feel doable yet still challenging. Graphics wise the game presents itself in a very cute and nonchalant style, presumably because its true nature is being frustrating and intentionally annoying the player, it works and serves its purpose well, i do like the art style even if some elements like the bosses feel out of place. Music wise i have to say this game has some very pleasant tracks, but it mostly excels in its intense ones, the boss music for croco and the final boss ost is absolutely nuts, for a game like this did not expect it to have such kickass music, sound wise the effects match that of the visuals, soft and have that happier charm to them as well as being clear to all elements of the game. Overall it may be cheap with its difficulty but i think that's entirely the point, personally i loved playing through this game and having a laugh when the game outsmarted me over and over, it might not be the absolute best, but the game absolutely knew what it was doing, its style, its music, its visuals, everything was made with clear intention and to me, i just simply can't hate it :)
I would recommend this game so much! It's FUN and EXCITING! So many unexpected traps, so many SURPRISES! Need too use the thing inside of my skull a little bit for some part, overall superb GAME! This is my gameplay, let me know what you guys think https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R45bxNB1YTg&list=PL4XsgaAdtcrjTplijsu3E4_4xIQI67gIp
