One fine day, Eryi went to eat the melon that she had been SO looking forward to... but it was nowhere to be found! Then she noticed a note on the table. She picked it up and read: "Your melon looked delicious, so I took it. From Farta X" Fuming with rage, Eryi set out from her house to get her melon back from Farta.

[OK] - Steam Achievement - Steam Cloud - Environmentally friendly (RAM use) - Characters looks pretty - Nice Story - many challenges, traps, and unknown things in every stage - Nice Soundtracks [NOT OK] - Can't setting the resolution (but you can use Fullscreen mode and I don't like it) [RECOMMEND] - Yes, because [OK] have more reason [ADDITIONAL NOTE] This game can make you feel uncomfortable so that it can lead to violence on yourself (be careful with yourself) because it's too many unknown things and traps in every stages... so, if your heart is ready to play this game, I recommend you to play this game and don't make violence... remember, this is just a game and might can cause emotions so, prepare yourself and pray more

Eryi's Action is a nice little game...if you know what you're getting into and you're ok with it. It is an "unfair" platformer: a platformer purposefully designed with various traps and unexpected behaviors that are difficult or sometimes impossible to avoid the first time around. Thus the point is to try playing it, die on the traps, and retry until you've figured out how to avoid them and move forward. This genre of unfair platformers is a niche that has been going on for many years. But most of them tend to require excellent platforming skills, on top of the resilience to die and retry hundreds of times. In constrast, Eryi's Action is accessible: While you will die a lot to finish it, it doesn't require extremely complex sequences of jumps nor other advanced platforming tricks. Moreover, the game offer multiple checkpoints per level, so deaths will never set you back by much. You will just need patience, some puzzle solving skills, and average platforming skills. Thus, Eryi's Action can be played and enjoyed by a larger group of players. Thus, Eryi's Action is a rare game that let you experience the unique fun of unfair platformers, without requiring hours and hours of training and learning. You can enjoy the masochistic pleasure of being surprised by uncommon behaviors of platforming blocks, unexpected traps and funny deaths, but without getting stuck due to a lack of mechanical skills, or frustrated that you have to replay a whole level perfectly after an unexpected death. The game can be finished in a few hours (it took me about 3H), with additional challenges for those who want them.

Given that many people did enjoy this game, you can take mine with a grain of salt. Regardless, I do want to go into detail why I don't like Eryi's Action. The game is a troll platformer where every move is uncertain because you might just die. A lot. Admittedly, seeing Eryi abused in so many ways is oddly satisfying and sparks curiosity.. that probably sounded psychopathic. But the entire game is like this, and the controls during flight or underwater sections don't exactly help with making the game fun. Dying in a single hit makes you see the game-over screen more of than not, but at least there's no life counter. The presentation is not bad. If all of what I've said don't sound as something you'll dislike then by all means, go ahead and play it. It's not very long so probably you'll find more enjoyment out of it than I did. Eryi's Action: you die, you drink. Best. Drinking. Game. Ever. Some fairy called Farta steals the Melon of Eryi and so this epic saga begins. You have all the traditional platformer elements: jump, grab items, throw items. Some stages involve swimming or flying and the last stage consists of a "Bullet Hell" kind of fight. The art is consistently "cute" but the scenery and backgrounds are overly simple - kind of a turn down. Anyway, don't let the looks deceive you, this game is not for children. This is one of those troll games where traps pop out of nowhere; you have to memorize their positions and patterns. You start with 30 lives but they are actually infinite: the counter turns negative once they run out, just to remember you that you suck. Once you beat the game in standard mode, you can push your luck with the EX Mode: just 30 lives (for real) some minor modifications in the traps, a final boss on steroids and an EXTRA boss after the final boss. The controls are VERY weird (arrow keys for movement, that's just barbaric) but you can remap them. I also remapped my Steam Controller and I could forget the mess which are the original settings. Linux port was flawless and the achievements are a lot of fun. I truly enjoyed them - EXCEPT THE FREAKING "SUPER PLAYER". This achievement consists in finishing EX Mode without dying. The game itself can be finished in +-12min once you've learned it - it took me 80 FREAKING HOURS to get EX Mode without dying. You have been warned.
It took me 10 years to finish this game. 10/10 would recommend.
This is a Kaizo Mario type game featuring cute girls. Truly horrifying.
I bought this game under the impression it was a troll game. The first two levels fulfill this, but the third does not, as it is a rather tough boss fight. It doesn't feel like I was outwitted or tricked, it just feels like it was hard for the sake of hard. The boss fight got in the way of what I wanted out of the product.
Technically a rage game, filled with unfair deaths, but partway through, I started thinking of it as a puzzle game instead. Could I predict how the game would try to screw me over this round? How could you get around whatever bullcrap was being thrown my way? What was I missing? Not sure if that's a normal mindset, but it got me through. Then again, maybe it's just better to go into it and get unreasonably mad, for more interesting reactions, at least if you're streaming it.
