About

Erenshor is a single player adventure designed to capture the game play and feeling of an MMORPG. You will meet and group with hundreds of Erenshor's SimPlayers - which are your digital companions who persistently exist in the world, who progress independently, and who will always be ready to group and adventure along side you whenever you're ready.
Players will spend dozens or even hundreds of hours working on their characters. By the time they've reached the end game they'll be carrying godly weapons, long-lost spells, and legendary armor into battle - where they'll be nearly untouchable for all but the most fearsome opponents in Erenshor.

Erenshor is a single player love letter to the early MMORPGs that paved the way for the games we play today. Taking inspiration from the classics of the late 90s and early 00s, Erenshor does not offer quick rewards or hand-holding. Players will get lost, stumble upon deadly foes, and learn hard lessons. The keen adventurer will be rewarded.
Combat is deliberate and deadly. You'll need to consider positioning, strategy, and most importantly: what to do if it all goes wrong.
Your reward will be access to a monster's treasures once it's defeated. Some will drop swords, or armor, or jewels... and if you're lucky, it might have one of it's rare drops in its inventory - all for the taking.
If not - it'll respawn in time, and you'll slay it again for another chance.

Erenshor is built from the ground up to be a single player experience. All of the content, each puzzle, and all game play is hand built and balanced for one player, making Erenshor the only "MMO-Like" that is truly meant to be played alone.
You'll start with nothing, stranded on a small island off the mainland of Erenshor. With persistence, you'll gain power and wealth. Success will not come without failure, but with every party wipe and failed battle you'll gain experience and knowledge to come back and try again.

Partner with our signature Simulated Players to experience all of the content the game has to offer.
These players will level up alongside you (whether you're online or not), they'll find new items on their own and they'll find them with your help. They'll ask for loot drops, they'll buy and sell loot, join and leave guilds, and even invite you to raids as they get to know you. They'll remember you and how you treat them.
The SimPlayers all have their own pre-written personalities and motivations, and their own opinions of you and of the other players. You'll find favorites, and together you'll conquer the world of Erenshor one rare drop at a time.
Grow together as a 'server' in order to defeat Erenshor's toughest opponents... and then leave the realm to challenge the Gods themselves!

You'll hunt monsters, complete quests, and find lost artifacts worth more gold than you could ever wish for. Each upgraded item will bring tangible increases in power, and soon the unwavering foes before you will be pushed aside, revealing a challenge even greater.

NPCs all respawn. You can attack any of them, and they all drop loot. Even the good guys.
Factions exist. Wiping out a town may mean you're no longer welcome there... but it may open up doors elsewhere.
Thousands of unique items, from common drops, to legendary treasure.
Simulated Players: You may get an invitation to join a group of simulated players in slaying a dragon or even a God. The treasures are yours for the taking.
Cities, Dungeons, Tombs, Forests, Beaches, Forts, Meadows, Caves, and Mountain Ranges - a huge world to explore with secrets in every corner.
Lore and Story done your way. Investigate the mysteries of Erenshor, or don't. Kill mindlessly for power, or with direction and purpose.
A World Divided: The game world is divided into separate 'zones'. Areas are unique to themselves, and can be traversed at will - whether you're ready for it or not.
Multiple Character Slots and a shared Bank. Subsequent characters have the option of starting with a massive advantage, including XP bonuses.
No micro transactions. Ever.
*Note that SimPlayers do not use LLM or any other emerging AI model. They are run by a mixture of state machines and decision trees. This means no token fees, and no lapse in service after a certain amount of use.

Amazing
Pretty fun call back to old school MMO's although I hate the controls, neither the keyboard or gamepad make any sense and its very difficult to even figure how to talk to an NPC let alone friend request/ group up etc.
scratches the itch for a type of game i no longer have time to play

A fantastic single player simulation of an MMO, with inspiration from Everquest! It is encouraged to party up for all content, find some bots, friend them and they will stay around your level so you can always play with your group. Later on create a guild(or not w.e man) Bots chat and converse in party chat, guild chat, general chat, sometimes they will even whisper you. Its easy to forget its all just a simulation maaaan. For me, spending days grinding experience for a level or two just is not my thing. Luckily, you can tailor your experience by adjusting xp gains, loot drops, ect. ect. Don't want to party? That is fine lower enemy hp and increase player damage and go solo. This does NOT affect(effect?) your ability to obtain steam achievements(for those who care) What really hooked me was the end game. I don't want to spoil anything so I will just say the raids are awesome and look great. Boss mechanics are fun and not overly complicated, and it is great gearing your 15 man raid from zero to hero. The feeling of progression hits very well in Erenshor! This game is packed with content and is only version 0.7 at the time of this review. The dev is very active on discord and listens to the community, sometimes patching something within the day it was reported/suggested. 100% worth full price, if you get it discounted even better. I am at 158 hours of playtime(all content cleared) which is insane value. Of course this doesn't include future content and I haven't even leveled ALTS!!!!
Liefert was es verspricht.
Wasn't sure if I should get this, I dont play mmo's (due to fear of addiction, I'm prone to it on online games.) but I always wanted to try and sink my teeth into one, this is a great middle ground. a fun sandbox with the mmo gameplay loop without the pressure of real people wanting to raid or feeling the need to keep up. I love that you can rename almost any "player" in game and with mods you can do even more and im really enjoying it so far, recommended!
Kinda weird game, offline MMO with bot players around, the game is fun in concept but feels "empty/janky" Would love if dev upgrade spell effects and make on-screen hit dmg alot easier to read, chat bubbles on players and more interaction as in the future of a.i you cant dodge to make world more "living". As in retro style mmo, the idea is good but it needs total UI overhaul imo and having party/grouping more fluid. the bots are mindless husks who just asks for your items from mob drops. Playing as mage/arcanist, at lvl11 there is only spells fpr dmg that just does pure dmg and visual effects are super boring, was expecting vanilla wow style where i can see fireball fly or frostbolt slow. There is like semi-polymorph stun spell early levels, meh.. For all these early levels it was just watching actionbar on spell cooldowns and just spam "pure dmg button" that has zero impact visually nor the floating dmg numbers are small when in party the whole visual aspect is kinda meh sadly. Maybe thats why i only loved vanilla wow visuals and artstyle that is immortal. But, i have high hopes as this is early access game and i can see how it can be polished to unique game. big + for having "admin panel" in mainmenu where you can optimize your "offlineMMO" with like minimap, show monster levels etc. Never played Everquest, but original ragnarök/silkroad/vanilla wow etc, retro MMO games, so i can see where the dev wants to lead this game. But i can totally recommend this game for what it is so far.
Those Friend's Club jerks are gonna get it >:(
Long story short, its awesome... old school MMORPG Without need for the net, the old feel without worry of a telemarketer calling and disconnecting you, enjoying the feel of ones youth when your old (like me) without the modern day trolls ruining it... Plus the ton of references brought up. It however needs a Friends List that you add NPC's so you can group them easily
Erenshor sets out to be a singleplayer simulation of an MMORPG and achieves splendidly. The main inspiration seems to be Everquest, but even to someone who has not played a single second of it or any other oldschool mmorpgs, Erenshor is still easy to get into. Plenty of visual progression, random drops as you level that keeps the excitement. The difficulty is pretty customisable with the "server admin panel". The raids are super fun, the music (especially the raid boss music) is excellent. There are some mods out there too, some being a bit more focused on "ease of access" in case you'd want to bring some "modern mmo straightforwardness". The wiki also has tons of information, made by passionate people. Looking forward to 1.0, everything that is added leading up to it, and anything in the future that's beyond 1.0 potentially.
