About

Erenshor is a single player adventure designed to capture the game play and feeling of an MMORPG. You will meet and group with hundreds of Erenshor's SimPlayers - which are your digital companions who persistently exist in the world, who progress independently, and who will always be ready to group and adventure along side you whenever you're ready.
Players will spend dozens or even hundreds of hours working on their characters. By the time they've reached the end game they'll be carrying godly weapons, long-lost spells, and legendary armor into battle - where they'll be nearly untouchable for all but the most fearsome opponents in Erenshor.

Erenshor is a single player love letter to the early MMORPGs that paved the way for the games we play today. Taking inspiration from the classics of the late 90s and early 00s, Erenshor does not offer quick rewards or hand-holding. Players will get lost, stumble upon deadly foes, and learn hard lessons. The keen adventurer will be rewarded.
Combat is deliberate and deadly. You'll need to consider positioning, strategy, and most importantly: what to do if it all goes wrong.
Your reward will be access to a monster's treasures once it's defeated. Some will drop swords, or armor, or jewels... and if you're lucky, it might have one of it's rare drops in its inventory - all for the taking.
If not - it'll respawn in time, and you'll slay it again for another chance.

Erenshor is built from the ground up to be a single player experience. All of the content, each puzzle, and all game play is hand built and balanced for one player, making Erenshor the only "MMO-Like" that is truly meant to be played alone.
You'll start with nothing, stranded on a small island off the mainland of Erenshor. With persistence, you'll gain power and wealth. Success will not come without failure, but with every party wipe and failed battle you'll gain experience and knowledge to come back and try again.

Partner with our signature Simulated Players to experience all of the content the game has to offer.
These players will level up alongside you (whether you're online or not), they'll find new items on their own and they'll find them with your help. They'll ask for loot drops, they'll buy and sell loot, join and leave guilds, and even invite you to raids as they get to know you. They'll remember you and how you treat them.
The SimPlayers all have their own pre-written personalities and motivations, and their own opinions of you and of the other players. You'll find favorites, and together you'll conquer the world of Erenshor one rare drop at a time.
Grow together as a 'server' in order to defeat Erenshor's toughest opponents... and then leave the realm to challenge the Gods themselves!

You'll hunt monsters, complete quests, and find lost artifacts worth more gold than you could ever wish for. Each upgraded item will bring tangible increases in power, and soon the unwavering foes before you will be pushed aside, revealing a challenge even greater.

NPCs all respawn. You can attack any of them, and they all drop loot. Even the good guys.
Factions exist. Wiping out a town may mean you're no longer welcome there... but it may open up doors elsewhere.
Thousands of unique items, from common drops, to legendary treasure.
Simulated Players: You may get an invitation to join a group of simulated players in slaying a dragon or even a God. The treasures are yours for the taking.
Cities, Dungeons, Tombs, Forests, Beaches, Forts, Meadows, Caves, and Mountain Ranges - a huge world to explore with secrets in every corner.
Lore and Story done your way. Investigate the mysteries of Erenshor, or don't. Kill mindlessly for power, or with direction and purpose.
A World Divided: The game world is divided into separate 'zones'. Areas are unique to themselves, and can be traversed at will - whether you're ready for it or not.
Multiple Character Slots and a shared Bank. Subsequent characters have the option of starting with a massive advantage, including XP bonuses.
No micro transactions. Ever.
*Note that SimPlayers do not use LLM or any other emerging AI model. They are run by a mixture of state machines and decision trees. This means no token fees, and no lapse in service after a certain amount of use.

A lot of fun. Channels 1999 Everquest. Amazing dedicated developer.
Since we are getting something of a tbc expansion, can we get wotlk next?
Beat the current version of the game (0.7) in about 180 hours. Loved every minute of it. Will 100% play 1.0 as well. (or whenever the final raid will become available) Hope that developer can add more control over sim player ability usage. (Customize which abilities sims use and which won't to make rotations optimized for certain builds in the endgame).

Game is pretty great, haven't hit raids yet but the game absolutely scratched the itch I get every so often to play a MMO. My party is around level 29, I farmed a lot of dungeons, geared them up and they're doing great. Haven't gotten into raiding yet, but probably will sometime later. I have IRL stuff coming up that I have to put my full attention into, so I can't play, which is why I highly recommend this game for ex-MMO people that need the itch scratched. You can just put the game down, go do real life stuff, and no one will give you grief for it. No angry guild members, no friends list that winds up full of people you've mostly forgotten, no annoying dailies, no cash shop begging you to buy currency in psychologically engineered pack sizes that encourage more spending. If a real MMO is heroin, this is the suboxone that lets you enjoy the MMO experience without it costing you your life. I have a bunch of nitpicks about the game, like the crafting system isn't fully flushed out (limited crafting stuff), the auction house has issues (dev is working on them), there is no steam workshop (the dev is focusing on finishing the game before promising anything, which is smart), but those are just nitpicks. Overall, I had a great time with the game, and will probably play again later when real life isn't asking so much of me. If you're an old-school MMO head with kids and a life, give this game a try.
peak old school mmo relaxation
Erenshor scratches that MMORPG itch while being able to not worry about people. The updates feel great, and with the new Raid update it adds a whole new level to group management that you might miss if you used to lead/participate Raids.
good
Played off an on since I got a beta key, and then got the full version. The game captures the spirit of those golden age MMOs amazingly. Tons of dungeons, lots of loot to find, Raids (coming soon), and a guild ranking system, there is alot to see and do! And for those enthusiasts out there, this is a true game, since it include the most important mechanic any game can have: Fishing.
Genuinely wonderful game and wonderful concept. Relieves the time pressure of playing an actual mmorpg, while keeping the soul of one.
One of the best games I've played in a while. An extremely addictive single-player simulation of an old school FFXI/Everquest-era MMORPG. It manages to tap into everything I love about those games: the grind, the exploration, the atmosphere, discovering new loot, and the fun of partying up and traversing a huge sandbox open world. It's excellent. I've wanted a single-player game that could capture the same feeling of exploring an old school MMO for a long time, and this has nailed it. That being said, it very much maintains the friction of those games. The questing gives very minimal instructions, you're almost certainly going to need to refer to a wiki regularly throughout your playtime, the game is a bit of a mess visually, and the progression grind is a very slow journey that not everyone may be onboard with (granted, the game gives you a ton of options to customize your experience and make it faster/more approachable to your liking). None of those things have bothered me personally, so I'm having a really great time with the game. Very excited to keep following development and see where it goes. Can't recommend it enough!
