About
In this dying age, only pockets of humanity remain. There was no apocalyptic event to speak of; only the cruel march of time and the inexplicable infertility of the world. Accursed creatures stalk the barren lands between settlements, which are themselves terrible places; squalid, medieval and mostly ruled by tyrants.
Our story begins in the town of Draenog, where the theatre performance you are putting on is interrupted by fighting at the gates. Demons have arrived. Your wooden sword will have to do for now, gather the troupe and defend yourselves!
Entropy is a post-apocalyptic role-playing game with an expansive world map, explorable towns filled with colorful characters, and a tactical turn-based battle system.
Embark on a quest across the lands to stop the demonic incursion.
Control your party of up to 6 characters.
Hire Mercenaries to replace your fallen party members.
Tactical Turn-Based Combat.
Explore a world full of unique characters, creatures, challenges, and treasure.
Level up your characters, increase your stats, and unlock new perks.
A beautiful retro 3D aesthetic.

Has the same fantastic vibe as Dread Delusion, just not as dynamic. Fun in it's own way just a little slow. If you like JRPGs this will be right up your ally. The developer is active, so the few bugs have been taken care of and they do a good job with it...
Very good game for an early access title! I enjoyed Dread Delusion greatly and it's comforting to see the same style of game with some seeming allusions to the studio's previous entry. Artyom Trakhanov's art as always goes amazing, and everything from the designs to models I thought were very cool. One thing I wish was a bit snazzier was the music! I think the music does its job perfectly fine but I do wish things like the battle theme were a bit more strange just like the rest of the environment. That's literally my only gripe regarding style. As for the game itself, it has about 4 hours of content if you do everything you can, which I'm pretty sure I did. I started another playthrough to make some different choices regarding story elements and dialogue, but all-in-all the only negative I can really point out is that hard mode is... not very hard. If you've played a turn based RPG before, and understand the mechanics the game has from the tutorial, it's easy to form together a team that wipes the final boss pretty easily. (I'm looking at you, enhanced clot with 20 magic) Cool game, been looking forward to it, and will continue looking forward to it as it develops out of early access. Edit: I went back and did some more snooping, and the secrets in this game are very fun. No spoilers though!

Lovely Hellplace will never get all the praise they truly deserve. I dont even like rpg games like this but I am now fully enraptured in this game. I would pay double what they are charging for this game even though its still EA. Ya da ya da praise praise praise you get it. Play the game and support their madness.
Act 1 completely hooked me! The dialog, lore, art style and the few characters to meet in act 1 were all great. Combat wise it has some super cool ideas with the mercenaries, character deaths and losing limbs etc. I do think it needs fleshing out and rebalancing. It's early access so there's not too much content yet, but I think this game has huge potential and I really hope the devs take their time with this one. I also do kind of hope act 1 isn't completely finished as it is now, I'd like to see it expanded a bit with more sidequests and enemy variety. Very excited for future updates!
A quick word of explanation for those considering picking Entropy up in Early Access: I did everything I could find in the game and it took me just under 4 hours (which included some wandering, looking for side stuff, exploring side zones, getting into some extra overworld battles, etc) So, if you're looking for a hefty game to invest in, at this exact moment, this game is not gonna scratch that itch. WITH THAT SAID, I sincerely believe this game is absolutely worth your time, and will likely end up as a really special finished product. As is, I'm a fan of what's here so far in EA. As nearly everyone who's reviewed the game so far has mentioned, this game has The Vibes (tm). It's got so much personality it's honestly a tiny bit painful in the rare situation when an area ends without something crazy coming up, or a character runs out of dialogue. It's just a blast existing in this world. The mix of the in-engine visuals and the character portraits goes a long way to really flesh out this tragic-but-honestly-hilarious world. There's something about the dire situation everyone's in, with some of the very charming dialogue that keeps things balanced between intriguingly bleak and Monty Python, which is a huge compliment from me. The music is -really- good. I found myself tapping my foot every time the battle theme hit, and never got tired of it. Combat itself is good, but not yet great. I played the entire thing on the (I think, if I remember correctly) recommended mode, which I believe has the game's "hard" or at least less forgiving mode. Party members can fall in battle, but do not necessarily because it's possible they just get wounded, so there's some risk here, which I personally find pretty appealing. Having some real pressure in a genre otherwise pretty well known for low-consequence play, often based on just blitzing "Big Number Attack" every turn and reviving your party after the fact, is refreshing. That said, BECAUSE character death is very meaningful, you may actually be even -more- incentivized to min-max your party, and as such may end up not experiencing some of the cool combat features. I did find some of my characters, the ones I built focused primarily on high % to hit big damage moves, impacted the battles much more than the ones I tried to play in a more tricky or interesting builds. I imagine a lot of the above will be balanced, changed, added to, or will simply evolve in the further acts, so don't take it as a concrete statement about combat in the game, just where we're at right now. It is also worth noting, that while I had a couple moments where a character almost went down in battle (the final boss fight in the act, and another one I wasn't quite prepared for, which was my bad honestly) I never had a party member drop to 0 HP, and so never lost anyone, so I can't speak to how that feels. What I did engage with is the mercenary system, balanced quite well between an initial cost to "buy" the party member, and subsequent "taxes" on your income at the end of combat. TLDR: You can absolutely buy a whole bunch of pals to help you kick ass, but they -will- cost you, which is a really cool aspect that I enjoy. In regard to exploration, the game has what I can only describe as "choose your own adventure" sequences that pop up on certain visual points of interest on the world map, which give you a fun little blurb of story, usually with some cool art, and a choice or two. I don't know how variable the outcomes are, as I've only done a single playthrough, but they did seem to react based on my choices, and not just pay out some generic thing, so I appreciate that. The little stories themselves were also really fun. Best way I could describe them is something like a lower-weight version of Banner Saga's random text encounters. In the end my take on the game really is just from a brief skimming of what's only going to get bigger and better from what I can tell, and if you're a fan of turn based RPGs, adventure, intersting worlds, or just a whole buch of little freaks, it comes highly recommended.
Its stellar. Combat is punchy, worldbuilding is sublime. You can definitely tell its the same team that did Dread Delusion, for better or for worse- I love the art direction and overall vibe. Build variety is great and i appreciate having permadeath mechanics, it adds another layer of challenge without making the game a pissing match of stats and buffs. The only bad thing are the minor bugs (i had one freeze up , boss at the end of Act 1 didnt drop the sword it said it dropped {just another soldier sword}, the greatsword at the end of the act isnt aligned with the hands) but they dont detract from the gameplay in any meaningful way. Cant wait for more
So far this has been a fantastic experience, and highly recommended if you enjoyed Dread Delusion. If you haven't played Dread Delusion I still highly recommend it--support your local Mushroom & Magic developers, folks. I have been counting the days since that calendar feature put this on my radar and I am glad I picked it up. I enter every early access title with an expectation of funk but so far things have gone smoothly. While I suspect there are things that will need working out, the opening stretch has been entirely without issue for me. My one note would be to normalize camera controls as the perspective shifts, maintain motion through the changes by default for a less awkward experience. That is maybe a matter of comfort rather than necessity; food for thought nonetheless. Otherwise congratulations on another unique, interesting game!
this is great, gameplay-wise, stylistically and narratively, but more dialogue needs to happen with your fellow party members. they just repeat the same thing at the campfire (And in the cuvas baths, why cant they say something simple like "ew its smelly in here" or something, just anything?). and also, with what little lore Selgair gave us, they sound like a really interesting character! but they just repeat the same thing. thats a couple of examples. more dialogue pleeeease. something like when we enter a new area, they comment on it when we go to the campfire, or maybe there could be an option to speak to them *during* gameplay? a great thing that happened was talking with the person in the weird tree place (forget the names). that person commented on one of my party members (i think tozeur) and tozeur reacted because shes a mage. that was brilliant. I will recommend this game, but i do hope the dev sees this, because i would love some character development, even if they end up dying, yknow.
Absolutely amazing, need more ASAP. Great mechanics, game has a good feel to it when moving around. The story is one of the very few in modern games that I actually became invested in. The world building is fantastic and gave me Morrowind vides at times. Good exploration Incentive. Just hope we don't have to wait forever for the rest of the game.
I couldn't take the pronoun propaganda.
