About

A third-person survival horror action game set in dark, atmospheric underground environments, blending psychological suspense with intense combat.
The story follows Adam, a former special forces operative assigned a top-secret mission: investigate a supposedly abandoned underground bio-research facility and extract evidence proving the government’s involvement in funding a viral development program—one that spiraled out of control and killed thousands.
What begins as a simple data retrieval job quickly turns into a dangerous search for answers. Most of the facility’s personnel are dead—casualties of brutal emergency protocols. Two scientists are missing, and Adam must track them through dark, hazardous corridors and storm-drain tunnels.
As Adam follows their trail, unsettling signs and unexplained events make him question the true nature of his mission—and his own connection to the facility.

This game starts off great. It's an SCP style horror game with a good atmosphere. The gameplay feels solid, and the shooting mechanics seem decent. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. As you progress, the game quickly starts to fall apart. It constantly holds your hand instead of letting you learn from your mistakes. It also takes control away from the player by handling core mechanics for you. For example, sometimes it gives you a flashlight, while other times it switches to night vision. You have no control over when or how these are used. That became the breaking point for me during the sewer level. The game automatically toggles your night vision as you pass certain triggers, but it's bugged. If you take one wrong turn, you're suddenly running through pitch black tunnels, hoping you can find your way back to where the game decides to turn your vision on again. Since you also have to activate switches in this section, the bug became a complete progress blocker. On top of that, the game has graphical issues, with textures that frequently fail to load. The developer told me I needed 8 GB of VRAM instead of 6 GB. I have 8 GB of VRAM, and the rest of my hardware is more than capable of running the game. The final nail in the coffin for me was the political messaging. I play games to get away from real world politics, not to have them inserted into the experience. If that's your thing, fine, but it pulled me out of the game completely.

Well, uhm What did I just play? Feels like five year old wrote the script and his elder brother vibe-coded the game based on it. It lasts 3 hours and you don't want to buy it for full price. Actually, you most likely don't want to play it
These guys really need to let you know you can NOT play without a controller, there are some parts where you have to press B on the controller and there is no alternative button assigned to it, I actually refunded the game the first time I bought it because of that (yes, I am the reason for the 'play the demo' warning :) but I gave it another go when I got a controller and I am damn glad I did. This game really feels like a B-version of Resident Evil in a The Thing environment and everything adds to that, the slightly clunky controls, the enemies, the ridiculous insistence of the level designers on long 'spooky' corridoors but mostly, the cheesy 'A.I.' companion and his ridiculous lines, right down to the insistence that he interacts with you and calls you stupid and makes you go on the internet to solve puzzles that you're just gonna go on the internet and look up anyway. This game is an oddity, and therefore a must-play
Interesting concept and story. Linear singleplayer horror 3rd person FPS with mini puzzle games. Game itself needs polishing, from gameplay, movement, same animations, and dialogue. The voice lines are a bit too animated and cliché. Has a direct to video acting vibe to it. Runs well, with max settings on 4K using a 5800X3D, RTX 4090. Definitely has promise. Looking forward to its development!
The game runs well and is a good experience. The story is rather lacking, we get almost no information over the playthrough. Since the actual shooting gameplay is not terribly strong this causes the whole experience to stumble somewhat. The atmosphere is good, but more details of the story would have been a benefit.
The game have good concept, good graphic at least in 4K,and that's it,there is no back story,of any events,It's literally 3 to 4 hours run, reason i pick the key for 12 euro.Anyway for now i saying yes, looking forward to free DLC story.I would suggest to pick this one around 10$ maybe next year, once DLS is droped.
The Black Day immediately surprised me with something I rarely see in horror games: a genuinely entertaining protagonist. Right from the intro, the main character introduces himself and explains the controls to the player. It is a small detail, but it instantly gives the game personality. Throughout the adventure, the game repeatedly plays with the idea that the character possesses some form of artificial intelligence. While everything is obviously scripted, the execution is so well done that it becomes one of the game's greatest strengths. One of my favorite moments happened when I found a keypad door and walked away from it. The protagonist questioned whether I had really failed to notice that only three buttons showed signs of use and pointed out that there were only six possible combinations to try. "It can't be that difficult," he remarked. Moments like this appear throughout the game and constantly add charm to the experience. The presentation is strong overall. The visuals look good, the sound design supports the atmosphere well, and the story remains intriguing enough to keep you wondering what exactly you are trying to uncover and why these pieces of evidence matter. My only real criticism concerns the pacing. Some highly energetic and action-heavy sequences are followed by slower, more monotonous sections that do not always transition smoothly. At times it feels as if the game struggles to connect these moments naturally. Even so, this is a creative and memorable horror experience that does several things differently from the usual indie horror formula. The protagonist alone makes it worth checking out. --- Step deeper into the darkness — discover more horror gems and nightmares. 💀 Follow our curator page: Sanctum of Horror 🎮 Watch the horrors unfold live on Twitch 📺 Full playthroughs & reactions on YouTube
just sitting here waiting for the DLC like 👁️👄👁️
game is under construction, the developers are providing updates and they are working hard on this game, i think it has great potential.
The game is ok. Sorry, best I could come up with. Honestly, the price tag is far above what the actual game delivers. It was a struggle just to play it. There's not even any settings options for you to change. Had to sit through the trashiest soundtrack ever, no choice. 3rd person angle can't be adjusted nor can you switch between which shoulder you prefer. Basic in-game settings that are completely non-existent. So annoying that I just left it on pause & walked away for like 3-4 hrs to get away from it. Movement, combat & in game mechanics are awful. Hit reg' is absolutely all over the place. Story is bland at best but will admit had some comical moments within it. All in all. Extremely average game with basic movement mechanics. It would be better served as being around the $5-$10 mark as opposed to it's full price but if your looking for cheap dodgy shooter to tide you over till something else comes along then this is the dodgy game for that
