I Know a Guy: Shady Life Simulator

Gets repetitive fast and is not as funny as advertised on social media

Here's my honest review of this game. I personally really enjoyed this game, I still have a few more achievements to get, but after that, I will have completely finished the game. The game is very quick paced. Between making pizzas and managing the dark web, you must keep a good balance, or your bar tips into too shady or too clean. This game is pretty difficult and slow paced by yourself, but when you play with one or more friends, it becomes really fast paced. There is a lot of very fun story lines and characters, some very recognizable ones I should mention. Although there isn't many town missions, you get a lot of shady customers to add onto the missing shady storyline. The pizza making is very fun, and pretty quick. Once you unlock all of the pizza types, it does get a little hectic. I wish the game would add the ability to make custom pizzas though. Although it is a very short game, I do HIGHLY recommend this game for a group of friends or even a couple. GAMEPLAY: 8/10 Pros: - Fun to play with friends - There's a lot to do in the beginning of the game - The characters have funny lines - The pizza part progresses is pretty quick Cons: -A LOT of lag, even with good wifi - The shady tasks are pretty repetitive, along with no new town tasks after level 16 - You tend to get stuck, like, a lot. I understand there's an unstuck button, but you shouldn't get stuck that much STORYLINE : 7/10 Pros: - There's recognizable characters such as Jacksepticeye, Markiplier, Caseoh and Sofie Rain - There's some pretty unique story lines - The mafia is fairly entertaining Cons: - The story line is SUPER short, especially when you grind the game - It does get very repetitive after the first half of the game. ART STYLE: 9/10 Pros: - The characters are very silly looking, and the beginning is PRICELESS. - There is a good amount of free clothing, and the ones you can purchase are amazing Cons: - I wish you could customize the characters a little.

extremely buggy, unplayable

The worst balanced game I've ever played.

I like the concept and think there's some real potential with the game, but early game is just extremely tedious. Unless you have ADHD or something, churning out pies is just not fun(you MUST click and hold the lever, then drag down. REPEAT for sauce) and the income is really slow. Eventually you scratch together enough money to buy upgrades, but the rate is glacially slow and the QoL stuff is locked behind upgrades that you might not even want to touch (online orders is a nightmare without courier). Thankfully you can just keep online orders off, but that's still an upgrade you're forced to buy to get the pizza smasher combo to really smoothen your pizza production (toss the pizza dough in and boom, smasher and sauce is near-instantly done. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!). Because of the above, I'd argue that you're better off ignoring your pizza front and going all in on shady business once you've purchased the shady turn in boost upgrades and cryptocurrency miners. If your shady meter gets too high, just pay bribes(shady upgrades can give you a discount on bribes and you can convert cryptocurrency into cash to pay the bribes) and/or keep the Spy around to passively churn out Front meter, that you would've normally obtained from running the Pizza front. Beggar comes around? Pay them off for a tiny Front meter. Once you get a nice cryptocurrency buffer, convert the excess to cash, boom, now you can buy all the Pizza Front upgrades you want. But at that point, you can simply repeat above to rack up the dough to pay off your debt and win the game. Soooooo, what's the point of the pizza front. It's just an early game thing to do until your Shady front is up and running. Recent update adds some semi-automaton features like Cashiers, Vending Machines, and auto-pizza, but again, these things are locked behind thousands of dollars worth of upgrades, which yes, you can funnel cryptocurrency into cash to purchase them, but why bother. Cashiers only take orders and tender, they do not make pizzas, you still have to manually push them out. Can have two cash registers, but seems needlessly pointless in Single Player, as there's no cook NPCs to help you push pies out (Patch notes suggest auto-pizza caters to its own customers, so don't think it'll you help pizza front directly). Again, better off pushing Shady quests. But what fun is that? Take an order, run to computer, type down keyword, make the order, wait for it to arrive, ferry it over to the courier and/or quest NPC, get more cryptominers if available (capped until you pay off debt and/or buy level-locked upgrades), boom, PROFIT. And Repeat. Ad infinitum. Love the concept, but definitely feel this pizza pie needs more time to cook. Early Access notes says dev(s) intend to spend about 3-6 months on it, but I fear it won't be enough to make this crust shine with a buttery garlic sheen.

Game is fun for 5 Hours, after that you just have to repeat the same tasks because all the side quests are done. I had a lot of hope for this game, I hope they either add more side quests or a new story line entirely but buying this game at full price just doesn't deliver enough content

Très surpris, le gameplay est sympas et plutôt complet pour une early. Avec pas mal d'humour et de références. Très addictif !
