Decided to give this game a revisit after getting into Nuclear Throne, which seemed to me like a much better version of this game, and yeah, seems memory served me right. This game is EXTREMELY mediocre. It has challenge, it has a dodgeroll mechanic which is an interesting addition to bullethell gameplay because despite giving you iframes, you have no control over your character once you do initiate a roll, which makes you roll very sparingly especially later in the game. Yet despite a good and promising core, it completely fumbles on the feedback department. The game is painfully slow and not in any meaningful way. The majority of guns are so painfully weak and are only marginal upgrades over your pistol, if even that. That is really bad considering how utterly weak the starting pistol is. This leads to most of your bossfights dragging on for several minutes. Challenging, yes (if even that), but absolutely mindnumbing and kills the game's replay value because most of the time they will play out in the same boring fashion (and the core gameplay is not good enough to justify that, this is a roguelike built around powering up and overcoming challenge, but often fails to give you the tools to feel like you are reasonably ready for it). Related to that, enemies scale up with floors, which means the same enemies you encountered prior will now take more hits to kill with your often stagnant arsenal, and you can see where i'm going with this, it's just like the bosses, challenging but in a meaningless way, and strongly contributes to the lack of feedback i'm talking about. Nuclear Throne on the other hand, is the polar opposite of this game. It doesn't waste a second of your time, you press play and you are blasting enemies the very next second. The enemies are fast but often not spongy. Even the starting revolver (there is a way to start with better weapons later on to get you into the peak action even faster), which by contrast with the rest of the arsenal is FRUSTRATINGLY weak, is still more powerful and satisfying than 80% of the guns in Gungeon if we're being generous. Runs are much faster, you can die much quicker but also getting back to where you were is a matter of 3-10 minutes. Guns scale up as you go deeper, so as you progress, so do the guns that you get, which is essential for keeping up the game's pacing and tackling the increasing challenges that can blender you if you get caught out. Characters are very unique in how they play, the only thing that remotely comes close in Gungeon is Bullet, who is one of the only well-designed things about this game. Not a terrible game, but play Nuclear Throne instead.
挺进地牢无疑是个神作,玩法多样,枪具配合十分有趣。

goofy as heck, pretty hard, rage quit a couple times. Still need to git gud. But plays extremely well, is a skill issue
Game good, Strafe gun ass
muy bueno
