Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 8.71/day in the week to Sep 3 → 6.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
EMPULSE is a fast-paced 6v6 movement shooter where movement is the weapon. Outmove and outgun your opponents across the post-utopian streets of Freehold, chain wall-runs into grapple swings into mid-air kills, and fight for Crews to control mechs for the ultimate power spike.
Movement is the foundation on EMPULSE. Every district in Freehold is built for chaining movement together and finding your flowstate. Here’s a look at the toolkit:
Wall-running: Run forwards and backwards, chain almost any mechanic into a wall-run, and ride virtually every vertical surface on the map.
Grapple hook: Build momentum, swing around cover, whip into a wall-run faster than you could on foot, or hook an enemy to reel them in for a one-hit melee.
Holojumps and jetpacks: launch off boost pads to keep the movement chain alive.
P.A.I.N.T. Bombs: Reshape any surface with Jump, Speed, Explosive, Heal, and Sticky P.A.I.N.T. Bombs to gain the advantage in fights.
Grapple into a wall-run, swing into a Holojump, slide into Speed P.A.I.N.T. In EMPULSE, every move flows into the next
Mechs are the most contested objective in a match. They act as a power spike that spawns mid-round and forces your team to fight for control. Two of them spawn at the center of the map at a time, and whoever claims one is piloting a machine built to take over a round. A claimed mech comes loaded with a full kit:
Chaingun that ramps up the longer you hold the trigger
Rockets that delete anyone caught in sight
Melee that hits enemies for heavy damage and knocks them back
Deployable bubble shield to lock down a position or act as cover
Charge jump that launches the mech high into the sky, then slams down with a shockwave, crushing anyone caught underneath on impact
Dash to reposition with surprising speed, especially for something so massive
Sums Steam only; PlayStation publishes no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

If you paid for this and are under the 2 hr window I highly suggest you escalate your refund request to an actual agent. I was denied and have since escalated the issue. No word from steam yet. Do whatever you can to not let them keep your money for work they haven't/aren't doing. Should have known this was just another rugpull.
Shut down and no refunds on any platforms

I'm not usually one to write reviews. I understand games can be extremely subjective and I try to let people enjoy what they want to enjoy. And this is more of a complaint about the developers and their god awful business decisions than anything else. I actually enjoyed playing Empulse quite a bit. It's clean, fluid, the guns feel mostly good (i'll miss that smg), and best of all it scratched that high-flying movement shooter itch that we all know Titanfall left behind. Sure, there were times when you could tell you were playing "Temu Titanfall", but to be honest I could get around it to support what I thought was an honest attempt at the genre. I figured I would check in every few months, grind some ranked and check out the updates along the road to 1.0, which the devs promised would be out in 9-12 months after early access, and have at least a years of regular support to foster a strong community. Well here we are, a little over only 2 MONTHS of early access, and the announcement arrives that 1047 will be completely abandoning both Splitgate 2 and Empulse development, as well as shutting down all servers and moving to a P2P model. What I am left with is a game that will never be finished, will never be balanced, and will be left to rot once the neglected community eventually dwindles away. I don't know how many times 1047 can get away with what basically amounts to fraud and false advertising until Steam decides they are no longer allowed to publish to their platform, but I for one feel scammed out of my money. One would expect, if funds are low, that the devs would pivot to a Free 2 Play model, which has proven in the past to at least extend the lifetime of a game, but 1047's decision to make servers P2P feels almost worse than a full shutdown, as now Steam has no obligation to delist the game or approve refunds as it is still technically "playable", and despite the devs completely rugpulling and failing to deliver a finished product, theyre still going to charge new players money for this abandonware. TLDR: Game is abandoned by the developers, 1047 Games, who's name is now mud and who should be ashamed of themselves for this complete waste of time. Game will only (temporarily) survive on P2P servers going forward, but 1047 still wants your money anyway. Is this "Making FPS Great Again" Ian? Abandoning a project after only 2 months of development? Please do not buy this game or any other game even slightly associated with 1047 Games.
its amazing with graphics like butter. its cared for like fine wine, and the gameplay is legendary. would recommend to titanfall players or fps fans in general.
I really liked this game when it was early access, it was fast paced and a game to just chill and enjoy. Now after a few updates, the game is slow, the movements became a shadow of what it was early game, you have no momentum now. The old interface was so easy to use and straight forward, now its confusing and even worse more bothersome to find a lobby. Its really sad bc i liked this game alot but now its not even the same game. I also dont like that the newest update wiped all my settings/controls that i had made, this caused me to constantly die in my most recent match bc my classes and controls were messed with. Very sad to see this game fall from what made it so great :(
BO3 is back on the menu babyyyyyyyyyyyy

After 3 months they are pulling support for the game. This company is dying and they are doing whatever they can to get as much money as possible before shutting down entirely.
This game has some of the best movement I've experienced in a multiplayer fps since Titanfall. There's certainly room for improvement but the game is really fun. The movement does have a pretty high skill ceiling and if you don't learn it, you're going to have a hard time keeping up with anyone but I find that learning process fun, especially once you start being able to maintain your momentum as you move around the maps. I've seen some people complaining about controller aim assist but I don't agree with it being a problem even remotely close to what some people are claiming in reviews. I've rarely seen controller players actually dominating a lobby and controller is actually at a disadvantage in regards to the movement because you're almost forced to play with a claw grip to do what you can easily do with mouse and keyboard. The devs have been pretty receptive regarding feedback and suggestions which is also great to see. Ultimately my biggest complaint is that there's not enough people playing and I really hope that more people give this game a chance. If you're someone that enjoys movement mechanics and likes to go fast, I highly recommend this game. Even if you suck at shooting, you can have fun with the Upload and Intel game modes which are like a basket ball/football crossover with guns, and a keep away game mode where you can have fun scoring points with superior movement without the need for a single kill.
TL;DR After exiting Early Access, the dedicated servers were shut down. The game is still (technically) playable, although there will be no new content and you can only play on P2P servers. The P2P servers pretty much end the game. Which is a shame, because it was actually pretty fun when it was online. The gameplay was closest to Titanfall: a high-speed movement-based short-respawn-time shooter. The weapons were decent enough, the visual design was meh, but it had potential to be vastly improved as the game progressed. The price-of-entry tempered any need for microtransactions, and also would have helped prevent bots in the long run. Except, that now, that entry fee is looking more and more like a rug-pull. The price of the game wasn't even that much, and I'm still wishing for my money back.
