About
Experience one of the most exciting and versatile professions up close. In Emergency Call – The Firefighting Simulation 3, you are part of a German professional fire department and bear responsibility for the safety of your city. When an emergency call comes in at the dispatch center, every firefighter knows their role. Which position you take on is entirely up to you.
During your 24-hour shifts, you make purposeful use of the time between calls to prepare for a wide variety of challenges. A daily rotating duty roster gives you the opportunity to take part in training courses, drills, and physical fitness sessions. In doing so, you earn the qualifications needed to be deployed in different roles – from attack squad member to engineer across a range of emergency vehicles.
In the training courses, you are taught all the necessary knowledge in both theory and practice to take on new responsibilities on the job.
Drills with equipment such as the Halligan tool help you optimize procedures and save valuable time during operations. Working with a thermal imaging camera is also a skill that needs to be practiced.
Daily physical training increases your stamina under stress, which makes a real difference out in the field. Strength, endurance, and recovery capacity can all diminish over time if neglected. Your endurance, in particular can be a decisive factor in saving valuable time during an incident.
Beyond that, there are many routine tasks at the station that form an important part of daily fire house life – and they all need to get done.
Once the alarm sounds, a large operational area with diverse urban districts awaits you. From classic firefighting operations to traffic accidents, you'll face numerous incidents spanning rescue, firefighting, recovery, and hazard protection. A dynamic day-night cycle and changing weather conditions add further challenges and variety.

So at the current state of the early access the game can be quite buggy but this is expected. If you have played previous versions of the game, there are some good differences however there were a few in which I didn't prefer and made me think if the game was for me as playing other firefighter sims in early access have been so much more enjoyable. This is based on a few things but mainly being the lack of initial content and the slight unpolished feel of the game for an early access release. When responding to a call, if your not paying attention in the previous versions and you hit into a vehicle, you actually hit into them, in this version you just drive straight through them. With an early release game, the least I expected was some sort of collision with the AI. The hose mechanics are simply disgusting, its a cool feature but with how it controls, having your screen move all the time whilst trying to put out a fire isn't a pleasure. It's like your on a boat trying not to throw up. Basically, the higher your DPI, the more shaky it is when using a hose. The tutorial cannot be skipped. Unless I missed that part, I had to sit through it when I wanted just to get stuck into the game. The FOV on some items is messed up especially the thermal camera. The positioning I like your whispering to your character from behind the screen, you cannot see much when you have this open. This is the same for getting into the vehicles, you cannot see anything and your stuck looking at the location where the character is getting in and out of. If you are responding to a call as a passenger and you press M to view details, it pauses the whole game which is annoying as this would be a good time pass when responding. In the previous version, retrieving tools was a fun feature as you had to search for the tool and memorize the exact location. I'm not a big fan of the list for each compartments as this takes the fun away from dealing with a call and having to search for the tools that you need. When ever a character is talking and especially the squad leader talking to people on scene, the dialog feels like it goes on for ever and you are standing around waiting for direction. This is boring, move along with the call... Some dialog/audio was missing too. It would be nice for the other firefighters to speak something as they are silent on the calls and it's weird. Something like them saying their intentions or general dialog about the call would be suffice. Also at times the AI's characters voice quality goes all over the place and sounds glitched. One minute it's fine and then the next their talking high pitched and distorted. The textures on the fire engines also glitch under certain lighting which is annoying, this is something I expected a little with the game being in early access. This also goes for indicating, on some turns, the engine doesn't indicate when the AI is operating. Waiting around for a call, this can get boring very quick. Personally, I wish there was a way to force spawn calls. At times, your game freezes or stutters when looking around - As expected with a new game I would say. Based on these points, I would recommend the game but not at this current stage as it does need a few more updates to be enjoyable. After playing the game, I would say for the current state of the game it's not worth the current price point especially with the more advanced games out there in early access. With the skills, I think will be the fix to some issues as you build up your level and stamina but I personally, don't take to this as I just want to play and complete missions and not have to train my character each time I create a new game. With the limited content available in early access, you may as well wait until more content is added. Overall, it has potential especially with the predecessor games which were great but currently I would rethink my purchase on this one as I've not enjoyed the first 75 minutes as I did with the last version - I feel like I have played a demo of the game but paid for it. Despite these, I'm excited to see what comes in the updates as there is a great base set out for the future and will be following the development and playing here and there as things are ironed out. One thing that I do like is the weather, the changing weather from sunny to thunder, that's a great addition.
At this stage the game is really unpolished with a lot of bugs and faults such as audio missing and textures missing and also lots of content is missing but it will only get better from here. For 25 euro this is a bargain considering how much content will be added in the future. What i'd do is buy it now and try it out then wait till a major update and play it then.
I have played it but I had to return it
and here is why: The game has a lot of potential. From what the "Early Access" offered, it is a nice fun simulator. Graphics: 8/10 Sounds: 9/10 Vocals: 8/10 (sometimes cringe, but in a good way) But here is the thing... I returned it, becuase for a price tag of ~ 25€ it is NOT worth the early acces (EA) (yet) The content of the EA is not worth an EA. If this was a free demo, fine! But ~25€ for a game, where there are only 2 kinds of missions and only 1 vehicle to work with, it is not worth the money. To be honest, I would be ok to pay the price when there is more content OR if I, as a customer, would know when more content will be available. But for now, to be honest, save the money and buy the game in a later state. There are also some mayor performance issues. Even my system fought for it's life at some points. (Maxed out the settings tbh.) TLDR: - Good game with potential - Not YET worth the price of 25€ - Content feels like a demo right now (september 2026) - Buy it, but not yet. Only if there is more contentupdates available - Do not max out the settings or you might need a fire extinguisher for your system - 6.5/10 game
To the devs:
I would really really reccomend to drop the current state of the game as a free demo. It would help people to get a first look into the game without a paywall of ~25€ AND they are not pissed or returning the game when they see that there is nothing much to do in the game yet
