Backrooms Cleanup Crew

I expected the usual from most Backrooms games, they usually aren't the best but are still pretty fun, y'know poor optimization here, unity store asset there. But that's not what it was. Then I expected oh it's just a Backrooms themed cleaning game nothing too special. I mean the incursions annoyed me at first but then the game introduced sigil power and I realized I could fight back against the traps, which completely flipped my opinion on them, I started to look forward to them as I could use them to my advantage. Then the story, oh man the story. I need you to trust me and try this game. I cannot wait for the last 2 levels to come out.

shocked by how good this game is. it knows it's just a silly kinda slop backrooms game and just runs with it. has weirdly engaging and fun cleaning mechanics from someone who enjoys both viscera cleanup detail and power wash simulator.

This did not look like my cup of tea but I grew to love it very quickly. The moment to moment gameplay is just so fun. There's a lot of messing around with prop physics involved. Every once in a while various traps emerge that you can disarm and/or dodge; disarming gives you a temporary cleaning boost (and breathing room). All of these elements (including it being a backrooms cleanup game to begin with) sound so strange mixed together, yet work brilliantly. There are SOME horror elements in the later levels but I'd hardly classify it as a horror game. After you beat any level once or twice the scare factor is gone. Or alternatively you can stick to Peaceful difficulty mode where no traps or hostile entities spawn at all. All modes feature time-based medals and platinums are surprisingly quite tight (though gold is enough for achievement completion). Overall, a mix of: backrooms coop; cleaning sim; time-based challenges is such an oddity on paper but it's designed so well it's hard not to love it.

Don't play on normal mode if you have no idea what the backrooms are or what incursions are. Don't be me. Holy hell.

Игра мне очень понравилась, она действительно классная и залипательная! Всем, кто любит и ценит вселенную Backrooms, она точно зайдёт — атмосфера передана отлично. Если вам нравятся игры в духе «симуляторов уборки», где нужно наводить порядок, пробиваться на следующие уровни, сталкиваться с неожиданными опасностями в виде монстров и время от времени ловить приятный мандраж от страха — эта игра буквально создана для вас. Из минусов могу отметить только то, что некоторые уровни временами кажутся не совсем похожими на классический Backrooms и немного выбиваются из общего стиля. Тем не менее, игровой процесс очень затягивает, а сама идея уборки в таком жутком месте выглядит свежо и оригинально. Однозначно рекомендую!

Fantastically fun Power wash sim like game. Backrooms theme is a ton of fun, storytelling is surprisingly interesting. Ambience of some areas is on point. Honestly just such a polished game, way more than you'd expect for this genre. spoiler All hail King Duck. /spoiler
