I'm not used to tower defense that much but I was eyeing Emberward. I tried the demo twice and couldn't completely get into it and I didn't know why. But I continued checking updates and I liked the dynamic from the devs and what I was reading. The game was still appealing to me so I decided to get it just before the 1.0, to see if I could really get into it and this time I did. Once I began to really work on placing tetrominos strategically to carve the path of the enemies and for example make long corridors with a tower or 2 in front that would spit lightning balls going through a big crowd it clicked and I finished a run. The boss was pretty epic and now I can slowly work on unlocking everything and soon trying the harder difficulties beyond normal. I can really tell there's a ton of love and work put into the title and it probably deserve its high praise.

Definitely, absolutely one of the top 3 tower defense games that I've played in my 49 years on this godawful earth. If you like TD games, then buy this game.
テトリミノ的な土台を自分で設置して迷路を作れるタワーディフェンスローグライク。 そう書けばそうなんだ、とは思うかもしれないが実際にプレイしてみるとクセになる面白さ。 寝る前、目を瞑ると頭の中でジグザグな迷路が浮かんでくる。 この迷路作りとタワーディフェンスとローグライク部分が共存していて、繰り返し遊びたくなる中毒性がある。 強いて言うなら早期アクセスなためかボリュームには100点をつけられないくらい。 アップデートで設置できるテトリミノや防衛タワーの種類が倍くらいになれば最高だと思う。
