El Taco Diablo is a game with a high learning curve. Once you understand how to approach the game (how to kill UFOs!), the gameplay is highly satisfying. It rewards you for your accuracy with sounds ("el grito mexicano"/Mexican scream!) and mechanics (Taco Time slowdown). This isn't a game that holds your hand, so it's very reminiscent of the older era of gaming. There's no tutorial - nothing to indicate the best strategy. It's a game where you learn as you go and find yourself improving over time. (FYI - The green glowing balls that fall to the ground are unclear - Shoot them! They're your XP lifeline!) IS THIS A GAME FOR YOU? - If you're a fan of difficult FPS games (games like Devil Daggers), or if you're some other type of gaming masochist, this is a game for you! - If you're looking for a great party game, this is also a game for you! Get your margaritas on and discover who's the champ! I don't play an abundance of FPS games, so there's something to be said for the fact that I usually plan on playing a couple sessions (about 5min total), and instead sink 20-30+min. into the game, all while saying "just one more go." That, in itself, is a success. In a strange way, it reminds me of games like Super Meat Boy - once you get the hang of the game, it feels like it's on you (not the game) when you fail. Recommend! Taco, taco, taco!
A very simple game. Aim and shoot. Don't let the tacos get close, or the candy apparently... The music adds a great touch as well. I managed to make it to top 3 and plan to make it to the top spot in my free time. If anyone is looking for something to kill time. You found it with this game! https://youtu.be/xUWsHuj07Bk
El Taco Diablo.. HMM.. Let's try and sum this game up in a few "Key Words". -FPS -DIFFICULT -MANIC -LUNACY -TACOS -UFOS -STYLISH It's a stand still game where accuracy and speed is king. Do you have what it takes? I sure didn't. [Disclaimer: I received El Taco Diablo for free. This review/preview is for the first 20-40 minutes of the game. Initially, I thought this was a simple point and shoot game, until I tried to improve my score on the scoreboard. The longer I played, the more I explored my surroundings within my peripheral vision. There is so much to figure out in this game - how to use the dynamite, what is that cute little pinata for, etc. I'll give you a hint: remember to shoot for the green! My accuracy is improving and I am steadily able to stay alive longer, but I won't give up yet. I still want to see El Taco Diablo!! !
This game is very potential, the game was good and fun at all. But the negative is, the sound range for incoming Taco is too close. So maybe if u increase the sound range for incoming Taco, or maybe a mini map on the game the game will be more easier :))
Compete for the fastest gun in the west with El Taco Diablo a game where aiming is god. Although i barely saw anything from the trailer in the game i think its a great game and requires dedication to stay alive and explore all the enemies and boss. Get this game and compete in the leaderboards with survival time and accuracy rating.
A decent time waster, for sure. Especially for Leaderboard enthusiasts. That being said, with limited enemy types, a beyond annoying absence of threat indicators, and no real reason to play it beyond 10 minutes, it's tough to recommend at it's current price point. The latin music remixes playing are catchy as all hell though! If you get a odd sensation out of blowing the crap out of tacos, then by all means, pick this up. For the rest of us, nah.... +Beautiful art and music design +Leaderboard attractive for diehards -Short-lived tedium -No on-screen threat detection, making sessions quick -No difficulty scaling Final Verdict: El Taco No Bueno
This is just not good.
