You will laugh, you will cry, you will curse the rising floodwaters. This is the block-game you never knew you needed. Squeakers is a simple, but beautifully executed game that pits boar against water in a climbing game that will keep you entertained for hours. The Remote Play Together requires some configuration, but allows for seamless play with you Steam friends, and the Local Co-op is even smoother. Even the solo mode is entertaining. Buy this game, you won't regret it.

친척애들 접대용으로 주려고 420원주고 구입함. 내가 플레이 해보니까 컨트롤이 아주 어려움. 덕분에 접대용으로 사용하기 어렵다고 판단하고 게임을 삭제함. 비추천.

Squeakers интересная игра с увлекательным геймплеем и хорошим многопользовательским режимом. Рекомендую и вам в неё сыграть. Жду вторую часть!

Squeakers is a 2D retro pixel game with a fairly unusual premise. The world is flooding, and you, as a 2D retro pixel boar (and your friend, local co-op is strongly encouraged here) must use your cement mixers to build blocks and place them on top of each other to stay over the rising flood waters... but it's not as easy as you think because the game physics are terrible and the controls are a bit clunky. With practice you can get the hang of them, but the lack of polish is just the start of the unfortunate drawbacks of this sincere and well intentioned game. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 6 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. Squeakers is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.
